ROTJ Armor Paintup (AOSW) *BIG UPDATE*

Ponte, this turned out great brother fantastic job and I love all of the steps that you took in achieving the weathering!!!!!!

Well i got to see this **** in person this past week and help fix a bolt that just didnt want to stay glued a few times and the paintjob on this had me jealous and Id like to think I did a dAng good job on mine....great work here so accurate its possible its more accurate then any other Ive seen before minus the on smudge on the decal on the chest ;)

Get that backplate sorted out too bud...look forward to more tutorials you dont know how much this helps guys

Really good work bro. I'm getting ready to paint mine and I'd have to say that this tutorial is going to be very helpful. I've already learned quite a bit just by glancing over it, thanks!

Really really looking forward to the next update of this, you've helped me, and I'm sure, many others get their paintjobs looking topnotch. Loved the little pointers, e.g. pencil line around the decal. Mine's painted straight on with stencils but I took a trip down the workshed and added a few bits after seeing this!

Yeh hes a bit modest and hes actually selling it and repainting it ESB lol so its not really looking like this now...but this is a pic of Rick from CV the day after he finished painting everything

You darn kids and your paint-by-number Boba Fett costumes! Back in my day we had to walk uphill to school both ways and freehand paint our Boba Fett armor!

(Excellent tutorial, Ponte).

....but it only works with ROTJ styled costumes (MOM/AOSW) because no high res versions of ESB exist enough to do it as perfectly as Ponte did.

I had to freehand my MOM version, but still spent hours and hours sitting in front of the computer with the high res photos from MOM, trying to match all the exact details I could as I painted. I did mine differently than Ponte, though. I did mine the way they did the MOM suit, which was mask off silver straight to green, and than hand paint the yellow around the silver spots.
