RafalFett's Boba Fett 3D Projects

Oh man. . . how awesome! Can't imagine how many hours/days went into
creating these files. You've proven again how skilled and generous you are!

Thanks a lot for the nice words, Eric!
Some of the models were easy to do, especially that I had my own blueprints as a guide, while other models (like the jetpack thrusters) were difficult to do, as I had to redo some of the shapes as I wasn't satisfied by the result. The easier models took me 4-6 hours in 2-3 days (because I don't have that much free time as I used too), while the more complicated models took me several days or weeks to get the final shapes.

Rafal, these are amazing, and not only that you have saved me SO much time and money after recently purchasing a maker bot. Thank you man. Any thoughts of making the ESB Flamethrower??

Thanks for the kind words!

I would love to do the ESB flamethrower, but with the available reference images is pretty hard to achieve an accurate setup. It is on the to-do list, but can't say for sure when this will be a WIP.

Just added to the end of the first post another 3D model: the 3 small objects that are part of the aluminum plate from the Supertrooper automatic blaster:

The first post was updated with the Supertrooper/Pre-Pro #1 automatic blaster aluminum plate and its parts. This actually replaces my previous post.

lots of hard and great work brother..
Would love to get some links to printable files? Looking for Supertrooper parts..
Am working on the "flame thrower" part right now. Going to have shapeway print it and now since there prices drop am going to have them make me lots of fett parts, just dont want to reinvent the wheel since you have already made major progress. I did tweak a Thermal detonator model I found, still working on the black thumb pad.

My Range Finder will be watching the awesome work here
Great stuff

Thanks! Each model has a link to Shapeways, where you can download the model for free in STL format (so far).

Here is a link to my Supertrooper flamethrower ==> Supertrooper, Pre-Pro #1 and Pre-Pro #3 flamethrower template (and decals).

great stuff ..are you using something to convert the files?..I get strange artifacts when I open them in Tinkercad..
I been adding spurs and attachment points to some of the little guys. Also Trying to separate some of the parts that are in one file. Shapeways prices go off per piece and it does not matter the size for the handling charge. Making separate files for the clear plastic items arrange them on a "tree" to make them one item and same for metal items.
So far its been a struggle- also notice when I uploaded a few files with zips (lower case stl) the get turned into the x3d file format zip..not sure if thats more or Shapeways been strange.

Great stuff and thank you

hmmm.. stl is fine..maybe breaking up the items it to separate files. Am not sure whats going on just they open with manifold errors and cracks.

I rebuilt the dental expander and spurred two together making it one item.

rebuilt the yellow transparent rings (they opened all jagged like teeth in 123D and Tinkercad)

Now am rebuilding the Beacon light tops..manifold issues, cracks and artifacts.

Am not sure whats cause this, the zip, the conversion pluggin, Autocad software, Shapeways. But something is changing the files or showing errors.
Again the only reason am messing about with them is to break up the files with large amount of items, combine items, make files with like matrial items, and save money with Shapeways.

The links you posted doesn't work. I opened the models in SolidWorks too and they look fine, so I assume that other programs might distort or read the files with errors.

Is this a new sticky? If so congrats! Its well deserved rafalfett as you have been a huge and great contributor to the dented helmet. And thank you, Nate

No problem RAF! I can't even think of everything you've done !lol. But on another note are there any rotj 3d gauntlet models out there? I'm asking because there's this fella who is starting his armor with a CNC machine. He just made a new thread called: Materials debate
