Jet Pack Possible found part...??? Thruster directional piece

MLS

I spend too much time scouring google searches. Every once in a while I find something interesting when a keyword search works like it should. Using a combination of Hirschmann (Hirschmann being the brand of earth plugs on the stock of the esb blaster) and other words, I stumbled onto these pieces. Theyre hirschmann dyes from an old machine shop in Portugal. Theyre pictured next to a MoW jetpack greeblie piece. Would love to hear your thoughts. Obviously, these are machined parts already, and even though theyre "found" it doesnt make a big difference if they were actually used in the films or machined for them... but that theyre hirschmann it caught my eye.

I'll have to look them over closely, because theyre are differences in depth and inside diameter.

They look really close but I think the ones on the jp don't have any hole in the middle. Good searching though. You may be on the right path.

Awesome researching! Man, all you guys here at TDH (and theRPF in general) are some ofthe best researchers I've seen. Keep it up.

Yes, but that hole could have been filled in. The part could have been put on with a screw and the hole/screw filled over, or even covered with a piece of plastic or metal. If there is a version of these dyes that taper in it..MLS may have found em, assuming they are actually a found part that is :p!

That said, id be interested in 2 of the middle ones you pictured if you decide to sell some :)

Yeah, if you found anything about possible knee darts, please share. We love this stuff.

Well, like I said earlier. I spend a lot of time looking for parts. I have a few other ideas about parts as well, but yet to check into them. Anyway... knee darts... It's real early in my knee dart search to speculate, but I will anyway because you asked.
Let's back up...
I've always thought a lot of the stuff on the kit is too random to have been machined. I've always felt that almost all of the parts are found parts from a junk drawer, dusty toolbox, or something someone had in their garage. The knee darts are no different. Let's be honest, these "knee darts" dont look very fierce. Far too random of a design to be conceived and milled. So, I always dig when something catches my eye. The knee darts look to be a knockout die punch. You could feasibly build darts on the posts using the threaded dies. Here are a few pics...
Use your imagination and it's right there.

Granted. However I was looking at the transition from the flat red area to the 4 recessed areas. It looks a little to much like machining to me. Like I said though it could be a good line of search.
