General overall costume

No matter how much research I do, I can't seem to find much information regarding the Rubies Supreme Fett costume. Does anybody have this? It seems most members of this forum are hardcore and create their costume from scratch? If anybody does have it, can you shed some light on size fittings (standard vs XL), the quality of the pieces (armour, jump suit etc) and whether the pieces come ready to wear or plain and require painting? Thanks guys...looking forward to contributing.

It depends on a few things whether or not you should go with the rubies. First, what are looking to do with the costume, just go to parties and not to big conventions? DO you want to get approved by the 501st? What is your budget?
If you want to get approved for the 501, save your money and do not buy it. To get approved you will end up throwing away just about the entire costume unless you are willing to spend MANY hours getting it up to the specs of the reference library. Are you skilled in painting and building? If so I would recommend looking into either pepakura or building with sintra.
There isn't much if any info on the rubies suit because it is a piece of junk. If you actually saw one in person, you would see why 99% op the people here stay away from it.
The costume would be yours so only you can decide if its worth the money to put into it. In my opiinion, your money would be better spent on some pre made armor by one of the members here or by buying the parts and building it yourself.

Yup, just stay away. Doesn't even matter what your budget is. If you've found this website you undoubtedly won't be satisfied with this thing. Lots of makers out there. Lots of stuff for sale in the cargo hold when you can shop there. At a minimum if budget is a concern, buy a nice helmet and work on it as a display until you can go further. Just my two cents....

Agreed with what's been said so far. There are a couple full-kit costumes up for sale in the Cargo Hold right now for some reasonable money, if you already have the cash on hand. Although it seems like a big chunk of change when you first see the price, what they are asking for these costumes is very reasonable. It's a complicated costume with lots of intricate parts, details, and paint.

I disagree with the gents posting above. I suggest buying it then you can find out how skilled you are at making a Boba Fett costume by taking the worst, most difficult track towards completing a worthy Boba Fett outfit.

I dunno about that crumdum. You're suggesting that he purchase the worst costume ever to test his skills? I can't tell if you're joking or not. Save the money, the stress and heartache and do your research here so you can do it right the first time. You will save money in the long run.

If you're looking for a finished suit, there are a few available in the cargo hold for REALLY good prices.

For those having problems detecting my dry sense of sarcasm....please understand it truly was sarcasm.
