Nemrod holster? let's discuss

Turo, you know if you make a leather holster, it won't be accurate since the real speargun holsters were rubber. :p

There is another feature, besides the knife pocket, on the holster that was modified. The bottom was cut open so the barrel could stick out. In most cases the divers who were using the holster for its intended purpose probably did this modification themsleves.

The holster I just got didn't have this modification done to it... yet.

Back to topic: a really great thread and very interesting. I think, MLC has to modify his molds now;)

I just picked up mine! It was a steal at $35! One problem, the strap for the gun handle is broken. I think it should be easy enough to fix. Once I cut off the knife sheath, I can use that scrap to make a new strap, add a snap and rivet it on. For those of you that have this holster, how long is that strap? Measurements for both sides would be great since it comes off at an angle!

Turo,

I just missed you at ACME. I had a party ealrier on. Oh well.
I'm just sitting here slicing away though.

PHAT,
Nice score for $35. Good luck with the strap repair.

I went ahead and cut off the pocket, and opened up the bottom end. Still need to fix the strap (measurement?? anyone??) and it needs to be sanded a little smoother. So far the best smoothing has come from dry sanding with #320 -#800, and using some Novus plastic scratch remover.

Very nice.... BP
Has anyone with the holster thought about 'casting' these up for all ESB wannabes? these things are SO hard to come by! ;)
