Nate's (Duder777's) ESB Boba Fett Build Log

I actually secure the butt /back of barrel in the grip though. Never to come out and the seam is hidden when front portion is inserted. And then only the front of barrel comes out.

Long time no post! I need to get back on it. This weekend I knocked out installing the toe spikes on the boots. Those are toolguy's 3D printed toe spikes by the way! Look pretty real to me. I need to get some pics of my most up to date flight suit weathering round on here soon. I forgot I only took pics of the first pass. Next, the jetpack...

I think I have taken this ESB jetpack about as far as I can, except maybe on the top of the beacon. What color is it? I only see it lit up so I cannot tell. I am guessing it is just the brass color in ESB?

Ok feedback time! Here is my first armor test fit. What is wrong or right?. I have thick skin so please be honest. I have bulked up a little lately to 225, though surprisingly the proportions still look decent to me. The plan is to be a leaner 205 in the next two months.

@Duder777 looks like we are on the same boat. Weightlifting and weight training really does not help us with our Boba Fett fit, How is that fit with your arms getting through the vest? Mine was actually a bit tight and I had to take the vest into a tailor to open them up to get my arms through with the flightsuit on. I am at 200lbs and hoping my marathon training will help get me down to 190lbs to have more of Jeremy Bulloch look with the suit on, but that dude was thin. Anyways, my first attempt at attaching the armor with vest was alot like yours. I personally thought it looked good, but that set up is not totally correct. What I learned was that you want to have more separation between the collar plate and the chest plate. In addition, the ab plate and chest plates could be placed tighter to each other and you want the bottom of the ab piece to be approx 1/2 above the bottom of the vest. Here are a few 501st reference photos to help you out:

Hopefully this helps, I am not sure if the 501st is your goal, but looks like you have the room to move the armor down. Other than that, everything is looking good man, nice job so far

Thanks T. Ya, the arms are a little tight, but not uncomfortable. Good call on the armor placement. My goal is for screen accuracy, but your suggestion still applies. I noticed in the screen captures that the armor in ESB seems kind of smashed together tightly. I could not do that though because the center diamond would not allow it plus my chest size needs it spread out a little for it to look right. I need to work on the heights. Thanks for the suggestion and pic. I used magnets for the chest and belly so that will be easy to adjust. The collar and shoulders are on with snaps.

Is the reason you cant put it tighter is because the magnets get to close and repeal each other? If so I had the exact same issue. I end up getting NU Metal which helped with blocking some of the magnetic pull. Let me know if this is the issue and I can send you some images and tell you how I fixed it to get a tighter spacing.

Thanks, but my issue is really just the size of the little center piece. My magnets are surprisingly not affecting each other. Also the little center piece is on with Velcro so no magnet there.

A lot of stuff primed and ready! I underestimated the difficulty of the gauntlets and the precision involved. They were way more work than the jetpack for me.Once this stuff is painted I will move onto putting it all together and making sure it fits and looks right. I am dreading the jetpack harness a little bit.

So I was not happy with my jetpack so I gave it some more punishment and dirtiness. Looks like a knocked a knob off the thruster in the process!
