my jet pack project

I made a very comfortable harness from the straps of an old backpack that I had last year. It took about 15 minutes and it was easy. Play around with things, and you won't have to pay a whole lot for one.

nice ya im going to use my old cammel pack it has buckles all over it soo it should be good and could put water in it too haha one day ill go for a more accurate one

and thanks

You got a Camelback? So do I! It's a real lifesaver ... especially out here when it breaks 110°F! I thought about rigging it to my jet pack, but 2 things:

1) If you use the entire backpack as a harness, it will push out on the back armor, and make you look like a hunchback.
2) Water weighs 1kg per Liter (which is 8.32 lbs per gallon.) Be advised of how much weight will be on your back when you fill up the water container.

Curtis,

Nice work bro! Here's my take on the JP Harness, didn't want to ruin my camelbak so i went with a cheap alternative and no bladder. Hope this helps you out.

Good luck and stay safe!

nice were did you get that one from ??? looks good

Thanks bro...the cheaper alternative? I got it from a Sporting Goods store, spent about $8.00. Brand is High Serria, and added on the nylon straps and buckles myself. ;)

The setup is described in my ROTJ JP thread here (y) and has a few more detailed pics too. 8) Hope this helps.

Stay safe,

Tim.
