So that's why no webley marking. What can you tell us about this Harrington; I'd seen pictures before but thought it was some kind of post war bodge job of old parts in a one off rather than a widespread operational piece.
 
There are markings, but not all of the same markings. From what I can tell, the webleys have a crown stamp with an "arrow", where as the Harrington's just have the arrow and some similar but different markings in relatively the same place. I'll try to snap a few pics later today. As far as the history of the Harringtons, I've read that after the war Webley sold/ licensed molds were to H&R. H&R then produced tear gas guns for Australian & American police forces. I'll brush up on the facts, and we may need to move the post to the misc Webley info thread.
