Modified V4 armor (Covering mods and paintjob)

A few more little touches tonight.
The colors shift around alot as with all things Fett.
I tried to match the weathering as seen in ESB photos I enhanced, then tried to make sure in person it looked alot more even and not so contrasting .

Ok now I'm confused. What is prepro 1 and 2. What's the difference between rotj and rotj hero, and se? May not be the right place, but since it's already come up...

great stuff Keegan, looks great to me, if my "untrained eyes" means anything to you.

Looks great! Love the way the R/H chest plate doesn't match the set on the ESB paint. One of my favorite aspects of it.
Did you scrap the backplate?

Prepro is for preproduction, and it means that a particular suit (or model) was made before filming begun and in most cases is not the final version as seen in the movies. The differences between the ROTJ Hero and the ROTJ SE is described here ==> ROTJ vs. Special Edition - Post #7.

No but I wish I could... I really couldn't get it where I wanted to and actually am finding it hard to care. I may just leave raw edges but hey, at least the angles will be there now.

Thanks for the praise guys.
Tonight I painted the chest emblem.
Thanks to Rafal for his template which I used.
BTW I should mention the armor was painted by eyeballing it and I didn't use templates or stencils. I wish I would have when I see little things out of place! Lol.

Finished the emblem.
I wanted it to be sort of sloppy like the painted one on the PP2 chest plate instead of the stickers on the exhibit armors.

A couple shots of the finished armor.
These are without flash.

And a quick and dirty photoshop I did placing my armor on a movie still.
(My picture was with flash and no color correction has been done except to boost the saturation of the washed out original image very slightly)

Direct comparisons show you just how much you got right, and what needs improvement!

I tweaked the saturation a bit to match better but left the colors alone.
I see now I should have modified the one dent I left alone! That upper dent on the ab plate needs to be much larger. I'll get that next time..

What do you think?

I think it looks excellent, maybe just add a little more silver and yellow to the upper dent, rather than going messin around with the plastic.

The paintjob looks more than great. The only 'problem' in the comparison image is that the ESB Hero abdominal plate is positioned a bit forward because the blaster is pressing the lower part of the plate (this makes the upper dent bigger), while in your setup all the plates are lined up to each other (and the upper dent looks a bit smaller). The only things I can comment (looking at the comparison image) is that your yellow is a bit washed out, less vibrant and the center diamond should have a darker/greener base color.
