Interest in 3D Printed Jetpack Thruster Ball?

I need to get back to my jetpack build and one of my hangups is the thruster ball. I was messing around with some designs for a 3D printed part for this and was wondering if there would be any interest here. It would be based on the WOF templates and would be made to receive 3/4" PVC (outer diameter of 1.05") through the entire ball. It would also be hollow to keep cost and weight down.

Cost would likely around $30 per ball through shapeways for a good, durable, unpolished plastic. It would be a few bucks more per ball for the polishing. I just wanted to know if people A) were interested and B) thought that would be worth it for their builds. I originally built up the entire thruster assembly in CAD, but that got WAY out of hand cost-wise. Thanks!

Neat idea, but 60 an up for a set seems a little high (.to me any way) that said why don't you get a set and make a mold of a polished one and sell castings ?

Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly on the cost, but sometimes people want things for what to me seem like crazy prices. You are right, it would be a great candidate for casting. I just don't have the time to devote to learning to make flawless casts and doing it right now (I'm picky and would want them to require very little work for people). If anyone is interested in taking up that mantle though, I'd be happy to offer up the design, perhaps in exchange for a set.

Thanks for the input!
