how long should gauntlets be?

IMO the right one should cover 19 cm of your forearm, or, in inches, 7,5" (plus the rear piece wich is removable). I don't know about the left.

There is a template on here somewhere i'll try to look for it and you can determine the size of it

thanks buddy. i measured the right one out and it is almost exactly 7 and a half but it still losk small as i have 10 inch forearms. could it just be that i'd need a bigger set of gauntlets?

most stuff tends to be "movie sized"... so if you are exceptionally short/tall/wide/narrow/etc... stuff gets a bit wonky.

if you are looking for bigger gauntlets, hunting down some of the older 1st gen man o war ones would be good. i seem to remember they were on the larger side.

well i'll take pics of them on my wrists so you guys tell me how they look.

oh that looks too short for you man.

the right arm gauntlet with the sticky outy bit at end. its tip almost reaches my elbow

they gauntlets look abt 1.5 inches too short in my Newb eye. unless u got really long forearms?

Nate

I think those are based on the toy costume kit made by Kenner in the mid 90's.

haha, alright. i think i might try to modify them then. these don't have the area for the calculator bored thing, so i think maybe if i were to try to add the piece on that holds the casio piece, it might be the right length.

thanks guys,

!!! wow, that was aggressive, i thought i was being nice and offering it to your community for the costume makers to put on their gauntlets before i just get rid of it on e-bay. thanks for your kind words! i am unable to pit it in the for sale section at the moment. im sorry i intruded on your gauntlet chat you are obviosly very protective!

It was not intended to be aggressive at all. I was simply wanting to know why you chose a thread that hasn't had activity for over a month to post that you are trying to sell something.

Edit: I would suggest posting an introduction in the introduction forum, get to know how TDH works, get involved with the community by making some other posts etc. Then wait the proper amount of time and post that you are selling your casio in the proper place; the cargo hold. You will have better luck selling it there as it will have more exposure.

Thanks for your response but I have no interest in this website and was merely trying to offer it to someone who might want it. I chose this thread as it was a discussion about gauntlets. Blimey what a hassle.
