Blaster Hasbro EE-3 blaster conversion

Your blaster looks great!! You did a great job on the build.

I just ordered the newest version of this rifle off of the bay.

I can and will say, even under sized, it will make a great blaster base for a custom Mandalorian.
If I can do this out of a kids toy, a little plastic, greeblies, and some PVC pipe.

Then this new blaster will be the bomb.

Mmm... I wonder if the 501st accepts Hasbro toy guns as prop blasters? Look even if you fix it up a bit it's still a toy that was purchased at a store. Perfectly fine for a kids suit or a budget build going to a Halloween party, but beyond that one should really upgrade their EE3 blaster. Here's my fist Fett blaster I assembled from a kit I picked up here in the cargo hold View attachment 76799

My assembled EE3 kit is not perfect but a member here took his love and passion for Fett and created this kit. I opened a box full of parts and sanded, filled in molding pits/holes, sanded over and over, painted and weathered it. When all is said and done, I'm holding a blaster that two TDH members made with our own hands and those holding a Hasbro gun are just holding a toy.

The 501st would not accept the hasbro gun as a prop blaster unless the garrison has a drunk GML at the time. The size differences are too drastic, not to mention the laughable stock the hasbro gun has. I have the hasbro gun myself so when I am just going out for fun I don't have to worry about my blaster (since the hasbro gun is basically junk). Let me also be clear I LIKE the hasbro gun...but its simply not 501st material...there are WAY too many size differences from the real deal.

After many long walks around holding my present custom blaster and just trying to get a feel for it I decided it just wasn't working. While it looks good IMHO and I like the bolt action and all, it is just clumsy to hold on to and in the way even with the light off.

Sooooo, I got the sawzall out and had at it and I got a very promising custom conversion of the new Rubies blaster.

Even doing a full ROTJ type conversion could work, it holds a 1 1/2" PVC pipe perfectly for a base barrel.

I got a nice piece of red oak from Lowe's to cut a new stock from.

I got a resin D brace and resin handle cover coming from eBay, I got a piece of red oak for the stock.
