Good Flight Suit for Starters

I'm still a new user to this site and I have had a lot of questions while attempting to build my Boba costume. A lot of my questions get answered by me just wandering through the threads and reading all the forum post provided by the work others have contributed but this question is one that I would like to ask from the more experienced members here.

I am looking to make a Boba Costume and I know that it will take some time. I am anxious to get it completed in a couple of years. I don't want to skimp on quality but I am also wanting to keep cost down by building some items and from purchasing quality budget items and upgrading them later.

I have the helmet and it needs painting. My next purchase was going to be the flight suit. I found one on e-bay but I don't really know if there is something better cheaper. So with all that said does anyone recommend a particular flight suit or particular person that makes one of good quality at reasonable price.
I do realize that the suit is going to get a lot of abuse if I do decide to troop in it and I don't want something that splitting at the seams. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ladysewforus or Arklady on this forum is the best IMO. They work together so you can PM either of them and im sure they can get you set up. I will say,it is not cheap though. Most of the sellers on e-bay make in accurate stuff. Some are ok but alot of mods need to be done to them, and for the little bit extra youd pay for a LSFU suit, i think its worth not having to do all these silly mods! The LSFU suit will last you plenty-a-troop!

Thanks very much Darth Vorhees! I have seen those names and looked at pictures of there work. After looking at some of the suits that have been improved on I think a quality suit is the way to go. I'll steer clear of the E-bay suits out there. Accurate color and stitching make for a better looking Boba. Some of the things first off hand you don't notice are all the scratches on a piece of armor but the flight suit is a big piece and better to not skimp on it to much I suppose. I have seen some of the earlier suits members started out with and some of them really stand out being incorrect. I know that I want a very screen accurate looking Fett at a reasonable price. Thanks again. Perhaps I can find a deal in the cargo hold on a quality suit since I'm not looking for a crisp clean suit anyways a little more wear and tear from a used suit can't hurt. Thanks again.

There are other options out there research, asking and getting answers is ok if you have tried searching first. I jumped into a really good suit off the bat a while ago, it needed tailoring, i blew a lot of extra $$ on tailoring when I could have gotten a cheaper suit that needed tailoring, but at half the cost. After talking to members via phone and PM Im trying out a seller here, and will report back in a few weeks when i get it. But take your time on buying stuff, theres suits that come up in the cargo hold already to go maybe your size and such. Keep an eye out...dont jump into anything without being sure what your buying.

Do you have something against LSFU? You seem so quick to point out there are other makers. Well, yes, of course there are! But i cant say anything about them as i do not own their suits. I do know that the e-bay suits are not good. Many members have been burned by those. I'm just going by what i have, and the quality and customer service i got from LSFU. I, and alot of other people, are happy with her work. In fact my bikerscout jumpsuit is also LSFU. Right now there arent many options that i know of but im very happy i went with LSFU. I hope you do have someone else, the more choices the better. I just think you could have chosen your wording a bit better there F4R

No nothing against her, others would say the same about crazy4bobafett, doesnt mean its accurate. The suits Ive seen seem to be hit or miss, some have thigh pouches almost at the knees, My Loanstar was great other than the shin tool pockets being to small. There is no perfect suit thats ready to wear. Hopefully someone who is more dedicated to the fett will step up to make flight suits for us, and not someone who just sews.

Like I said explore all your options and get whats best for you.

Ah i forgot about crazy4bobafett, but i never saw one of those in person so i guess i couldnt comment on that.

Point understood, but i know for a fact if there was something that we all thought needed to be fixed on LSFU's suit, she would fix it. I didnt do anything to mine except tailor the legs to be narrower. I really dont see any inaccuracies with it. Though im not about to get out the millimeter ruler. I worked with LSFU to help her get her TIE/crewman suits more accurate. She has asked about the Scout suit as well. She is very willing to adjust what may need to be adjusted to have her product more accurate. As far as i could tell, her suit was pretty accurate to me,personally. I didnt have to move any pockets or anything of the sort. If there is something on the suit that can be more accurate, let her know, That goes for any maker out there. if no one says anything, the maker will think it is good/accurate and not change anything, so nothing will change. I am curious though, (and i may regret asking this question lol) what exactly is not accurate about her suit?

I talked to her about fixing the minor things actually, just a "starter suit" isnt a LS4U suit by any means

we spoke about fixing the thigh pocket placement several I showed her were about 3 inches to low, spoke about attaching the neckseal to the suit not a dickey, adding holes for the hoses to run through the sleeves, my only REAL gripe was the thigh pockets really, I have an order Im about to place with her soon as I get the funds together for that...some people cant wait 4+ months for parts as alot of people come here looking to build something quick (we know thats not a great idea) but to each his own.

Im still debating the two as Im not going with loanstar again no offense to him just the flightsuit seemed like an off the shelf item he had made and it was to short but to large in the waist for me overall very un satisfied, the legs and arms were to short, the shin tool pockets not tall enough either, Not built to order i dont think even though I gave very specific measurements

I'm also looking for a suit. Are there any recent opinions on the Cucblack suits? Doing some research here, I have read some mostly positive things other than the placement of the pouches.
