First Troop with my new Fett

Hi All

Just thought i'd share a couple of pics of my first outing with my Fett... long way from being finished yet but i think its looking quite good, I'm from the Isle of Man and there is a group of about 15 of us with various costumes that do lots of local troops for a local charity that grants wishes for terminally ill kids. We got a local artist to paint some cool back drops for our troops so this was the first outing for these too... it went really well and hopefully we have raised a lot of money... after this troop at a local shopping center we went straight to a wedding to troop for a couple of massive star wars fans... a lot of fun but hard work dancing in the outfits with the quests, they made a large generous donation to the charity for us turning up too so it was all good...

anyway hope you like the pics, next project is the jetpack!!! 10157271_10202926919307803_1957270906477875877_n.jpg10177222_10202926916467732_3690163595594795769_n.jpg

Thanks for the positive comments guys, good to get some feedback and to know that what i am doing is on the right lines, Grinch: I'm quite happy with the weathering, its really hard when you have stuff ont he workbench in front of you to know how its going to look when wearing it but thankfully it looks pretty good in the pics :D

no idea it came with a job lot of stuff i bought last year, i have dyed it 3 times to get the right colour i wanted... started using dylon antique grey (half a pack to give a light grey base then 2 goes with china blue, i did the thigh pockets and weathered it all myself using black boot polish on dry, then a mix of dry and wet dyeing with this stuff Pigments - Woodland Scenics - Model Layouts, Scenery, Buildings and Figures which is brilliant and really easy to use, plus if you screw it up it washes out so you can start again and don't ruin your suit!!!! :)
i used the 4 colours to try and give the weathering a bit of depth and put it on using a microfibre cleaning cloth and various paintbrushes to add different "textures" for want of a better word and i think it works quite well :)
