Where? Got pics????? Lets see yours..... You speak pretty good for a newbie.....

1... You won't find any better gauntlets, unless you go to the archives and copy them and mold them...

2... I'm not going to claim to be the best painter, as there are some very good ones on this board as well, if you got better gauntlets or have pics of some, by all means put them up.

Oh, and welcome......

Those look sweet. what paint did you use for the main color?

Thanks,
The main color is red primer followed by mistings of Painters Touch #1964 Colonial red, grey primer, and flat black.

I'm sorry, but that was just stupid of you to say something like that Dark Hawk :angry
It really pisses me off to read crap like that when people are putting their heart and soul into making exquisite props like the one in this thread...

Anyway, Lynn don't pay attention to comments like that and...I'll be definitely referring to this thread when I'll be recieving my gauntlets next week! Amazing work :D

Dude, that's just F'd up saying something like that. I agree with the others. Someone busts their hump working on their passion and you run off at the mouth. Let's see your work and compare. Like mom used to say: "If you can't say anything nice, STFU."
That just really pisses me off. Sorry guys.

Lemme guess...you saw them...IN THE MOVIE??!!

Jeez!!! :wacko

Great work Lynn. I too will be getting a pair soon
and your pics are just as good as any to use as a
reference. :)

You don't have to . . . your work speaks for itself! :cheers

Other than I am a little disappointed in the one glaring error I thought you would have caught.

You painted your gauntlets red instead of green!

Rookie mistake!

:p

THanks for the support guys/gals....

Maybe this is the same know it all guy (Apogee1/Dark Jedi Inc.) that just got banned from the RPF for causing problems and came over here to play...

I was thinking the same thing. Kind of ballsy for your first post. Anyway, as usual Lynn, they look fantastic, not that we expect any less...

Hahaha, I was actually just reading about that issue today... ;)
You never know! It could be!? :wacko

I was thinking the same, he he..He's been banned from 2 boards now from my knowledge. Anyway, the gauntlets looks great, Lynn. Could we see how they look on your full suit?

Ah, it does my heart good to see the troops rallying around one of our own. If we only had that in the MI community, I'd be a happy man.
Great job Lynn. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Hmmm :facepalm. I would be very surprised if that were the case, as these gauntlets are considered by most, if not all, to be some of the finest currently available. I for one cannot find any discrepancies between these and the reference shots available. But if you feel strongly about it, may I humbly suggest the following:

1) post a proper introduction so we know who you are and a little about yourself.
2) post pics of your work
3) post pics of the better gauntlets you refer to (if not your work)
4) if your pics are better than those here, THEN, re-state your comment. If they are, I'm sure everyone including the maker of Lynn's fine gauntlets will give them credit. If not, tone down your comments, apologise, and remember we do all try and get along.

Welcome aboard! I look forward to reading your civil introduction.

Thanks guys....

I have had several PM's asking what my flamethrower nozzles are so here they are....

I used an RF connector from Radio Shack, it looks pretty close to the knurling that is on the real one and is close enough for me.

Here is mine....

Here is RS link for it.

I took apart the connector and inserted aluminum tubing inside.
