Fiberglass Armor (Opinions wanted)

CENOBYTE

Active Hunter
I'm going to be upgrading my custom, and begin work on my ESB Fett very soon. I'm looking into FG armor, and of course I'm impressed with the armor available from MLC, and JD (which I'll be using for my custom), but does anyone have any experience or knowledge pertaining to the armor available from eBay seller Beetlefix? He's only been selling for a short while, but from what I can tell, it looks good. I've been following his auctions, and he's now offering cods and backplates as well.

Here is a link to a dead auction of his:

Anyone have any input on his product?

....looks clean to me...pretty cheap too...almost looks just like the armor that is offered by 'bobamaker'...I'd just be curious on the actual curve on the chest pieces since that made a HUGE difference to me...if it does not curve right the chest pieces stick outward and get caught on your gauntlets...weak!!!...

..but shoot for $50.00 or so cant complain...do I feel a White Mando anytime soon???

Yeah I thought it looked like BobaMaker's armor at first too, but I've compared pics of them, and there are some noticeable differences. $50 is a good price, and he had an auction up the other day that also included the backplate and code for around $90-$100 I think. Doesn't look like it's curved much, but I saw in a thread not too long ago that people have successfully been able to heat and bend fiberglass.

Anyway, yeah, still may do the white pre-pro suit, but I'll recycle my sintra armor for that most likely.

That looks nothing like bobamakers, I have a set of his and they are very accurate and have the dished cup for your chest just like the real armor.

It is more exspensive but definitly worth it.

I don't want to do myself out of business here, but that armor looks pretty good for the money, it doesn't look curved enough on the chest and belly pieces but you can pop it into a bowl of hot water and easily curve it a little more if you wish, this doesn't damage the fibreglass.

It all comes down to what we can all afford at the end of the day.

Good luck in your quest!

Yeah, but one concern I have is the quality. For such a low price, I almost assume it to be of low quality. Which makes me wonder if I should just cough it up and invest in a more expensive, yet more well-known set. That's why I wanted to know if anyone had experience with this seller, to find out if the armor is of good quality.

Also, one thing I like about this guy is that you can get the full chest/shoulders/colar/back in one order. Alot of sets I've seen recently are just the chest, or just the shoulders, or the cod.

Dished cup for your chest?

Hey BobaMaker! I got one of your Ts about 8 months ago, perfect...as for the curve on the tummy, that looks like it would be perfect for my Budha Belly!!! Should it be moreso? My Sintra sucks arse! You may be getting a PM from me for some FG stuff! Hey CENO and S5! By the time this is all over, you guys are going to have a set of armor for each day at C3...I will be 'lil Stinky White Guy!

Yes look closely at the MoM fett chest armor, it is dished to your pec muscle.

This is the best image I could find and the lighting really shows it off good. This is something most armor makers do not fool with, and you cannot get using sintra.

...awwwwwwwwwww man...and I was thinking that we were getting a Boba Fett Mug w/each armor purchase...

...yes bobamaker's armor looks way sweet and he has shown that he is one cool cat...one of the best sets I have seen...I have not had the pleasure of seeing the MLC stuff yet...

...the dished look is what I like...curves to the body...JDz stuff does that well too, which is what I currently have...

...and BigBoy...C3 is still a ways out...I am sure you can come up w/another jumpsuit :D time to give the wifey a nice back massage...

Oh you just mean contoured to your chest. My sintra armor does that just fine.
