Fett Files

soooo... steering the conversation back to the files. it just wont do for my helmet to not have these when it's done. i've got my metal borden, and my metal ears, i'm going to need some files (preferably metal, but sometimes that's not in the cards) to put in the back. so, when are these going to be made available to the rest of us?

How's this for irony;
I figure out that the nubs are actually files used for Root Canals.( not which brand, of course)
Yesterday I go to the Dentist to find out I need to get 4 Root Canals done.

Anyone want to guess what my first question will be when I go to my appt. on the 14th?

Hahaha... wait... root canals aren't a laughing matter! Does the site need to donate some files for your root canals?

Looks nice man. What paint did you use? I need to paint mine up and get them installed. The paint you chose seems just about right.

Also wanted to put this up although I think Evilhemmes already covered this. I wanted to give you a good idea of the correct style vs some of the other endo files that are out there. Obviously the one I have checked has two etch lines and at least on the files in the back of the helmet there is only a single line, but the style remains the same.

Tamiya Clear Red X-27 Item 81527
It might be a little too blood-red, but I think I'll be ok.
Run's around 2 bucks for a little bottle. I've had mine a few years now

ok so thoughout this thread, ive spoken about getting quotes to also see what machined copy's will cost ect, i have organised to have my originals (used as reference, detail ect, measurements, howmany paralell grips),to have machined, stamped and anodised replica's,(red15's,blue jp,red jp, esb gaunt setup silver,red configs) once i get these i will post pics ect, we have spoken about attachment and hopefully have come up with a way, as Art stated a thin screw machined off the end where the file would be, at the moment i am pumping out resin casts, for either castings (as these are what i use, attach to a sprue, stem and burnout then cast) or if the aluminium anodised turn out better these will double as just plain resin copies. i understand people have there helmets ect and want there nubs, im just trying to see whats best for the community, if the costs of the aluminum anodised versions undercut the casting, its no biggie to understand the anodised ones would probably favor over the cast plain metal. the machinist has had these for well over a 2 weeks so we should see something soon

nice colour master S1P,

I don't think it is pointless at all. I would love to get a complete set from you. I am sure there are others as well. I think you should keep making them, or at least till I get a set from you :)

Dont stop man! I am waiting to get some nice 15's from you. The ones Art is selling off dont have the correct 15 on top for ROTJ accuracy. I am still in for your casts.
