Extremely Lazy Fett

ok Ive been poking around on here for a while and have decided I want to Fett myself. That being said I have very limited time to make my own costume. Single dad disabled vet and working two jobs to make ends meet.
If I wanted to source an entire costume is it possible?? This includes everything painted.
Cost what would I be looking at for a complete set?? I know this is not the best way to go about things but I have limited time and anything near experience with this stuff.
I appreciate all the help you can offer and if someone is in Metrowest Boston area and would be willing to help me make my own Id be willing to try.

You'd be looking at somewhere between $5000-$7500 for everything. Depends who you have doing the paint and assembly. Need to read lots of data here, and decide on which version and how accurate you want to go. There is also a timeframe for the makers/ painters queue to consider, so take your time and don't rush anything. I can recommend vendors for items, but not sure about someone to do the assembly and paint up.

You said you have limited time, I'm assuming that means you have limited time in your day to work on a Fett? Or that you have a deadline coming up for which you want to complete your Fett?

Either way, I would honestly say that with this endeavor you're looking at a GOOD chunk of money. I've spent the better part of 8 years continuously sourcing items ( and selling them off again when I got into a financial pinch) and finding the best deals. If you are willing to keep an eye out and wait for the best deals you can do one on a pretty good budget. I feel I have some super accurate parts and I've spent probably less than $1000 on what I have now.

The thing is you don't really need anyone to show you what or how to do the things, this board is a vast and powerful library of knowledge to build a Fett of any kind. Heck, there are even detailed tutorials on using a dremel and tools on here along with the armor building and painting tutorials.

Simply search, thats the best advice I can give. Even yesterday I searched jetpack frame and found the WoF templates and 3 or 4 build threads to give me a starting point.

So prepare to invest a little time where you can, and a bit of moolah... I guess the rule of 2 applies to Fett, you have Quality, Cheap, or Short Time Frame... you can only choose 2...... can't have all 3.

I agree with everything said above. To start off you need to determine how accurate you want it to be and when you want it done by. This will help determine your budget. Unless a complete suit pops up in the cargo hold, there's no quick or easy way to build an accurate Fett. Good luck.

Even if one suit does crop up and the user says it's 501st approved...what was approved 4 years ago isn't necessarily accurate or approvable now. Your own research will find these answers.

You can't view the cargo hold yet but that will probably be your best option when u can( looking for a used complete Fett). May have to change a few items to make it approvable or for it to fit your body. Time is of the essence so I definitely understand where you're coming from. Does not mean you're lazy by any means.

He can view the Cargo Hold....he can't post in the Cargo Hold

Thanks for the insight. this is my first attempt at a suit. Time as in working two jobs and being a single dad. i will keep my eyes peeled in the cargo hold

as a fellow disabled 11BangBang, let me say....use what little time you have to NOT RUSH A FETT.

8 years I've been working on mine. While the temptation is great to just hobble it together as quick as possible....if you want a quality Fett...take thoust time...
