Are the ESB right gaunt dart and switch tips painted?

Hey guys,
Essentially what the title says.
Seems to me in this pic that the two left (when looking at the pic) dart tips are painted red. Also looks like the tips of the two switches are also painted.

I've been searching and not come across any mention of it. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just seeing things?

Cheers,

-Carl.

No, he's talking about the 4 gauntlet darts across the top.
I believe that they are .
this pic from the gallery looks more red. It looks like the same pic though.

They look like they were painted, but the paint has worn off of the other 2?

I suppose it should maybe say "two BOTTOM (when looking at pic)." They don't seem so much 'left' really. Anyway, I do not see the red at all. There is so much color noise in the photo it could be anything, but mostly it just looks like a dark color, but it does seem like the tips got some weathering if not deliberate paint. My guess it was just random weathering.

Yeah, the ROTJ darts are the same way as the PP2 darts
but...
this is ESB. LOL
Look at the guantlet its an ESB gaunt but red...they were the same te ROTJ gaunt was red but not the same as the ESB similar but not the same...the PP2 is an ESB gaunt but red...has the files on the side as well pretty sure it was repainted to be esb or was the brother of the ESB gaunt

All of the gauntlets were from the same mold. The ROTJ just had a different whipcord attachment on the side.
The SuperTrooper was all white with the "standard" whipcord. Unable to tell if the dart tips are painted.
PP1 was red (different than the ROTJ red) with the "standard" whipcord. The dart tips are definitely not painted.
PP2 was red ( same as the ROTJ red) with the "standard" whipcord. The dart tips are painted the same as ROTJ
PP3 Looks to be the PP1 gauntlet with the "standard" whipcord. If so, then the dart tips are definitely not painted.
ESB is green with the "standard" whipcord. The dart tips are in question now.
ROTJ was red (same as PP2) But with a "NEW" whipcord. The Dart tips are painted red and black (alternating)

Given the above inconsistencies, how can you be so sure that they are painted?
And if they are in fact painted, what color are they?

There is not enough red information in that photo to be conclusive. The image on the left has the reds completely blown out, and you can see that the two darts on top have even more red than the bottom, which leads me to believe it is reflection or just image noise.

The image on the right is the isolated green channel (with the least amount of noise). So the bottom two darts appear to be weathered. My opinion is black paint, but there's no way to tell for sure without a better image.

Thanks for the info guys, very interesting.
Looking at that pre-pro pics it seems clear that the intention was to have the tips painted. Going with that info and what I can see from the esb pic I think I'm gonna go with like a dark crimson for the two 'bottom' darts.
