I just picked it up today at the post office and unboxed. I was expecting quite an amazing piece, and this far exceeded my expectations. Everything fits together so perfectly, looks like metal and wood, and the weathering job is excellent. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend picking one up fully weathered. It does not get any better than this.

Yeah I buy lengths of Chromed Brass tube same diameter/material as MPPs and cut them down to the 'seen' length. This is then fitted to a custom resin plug glued in the barrel.

I cut the hole pattern(copied off my original) on my mill.

What are you using for the MPP? Custom cut tubes?

Finally i've gotten round to updating my ESB stock centre greebly. Here's a CAD wireframe of what i've created based on the screencaps I have:

I'm having it 3D printed rather than scratchbuilding it to try out this new fangled technology :)

Assuming it prints ok etc. should be getting it end of this month and i'll be replacing the old part in my kits shortly after.

That's an awesome news! I'm also trying myself at 3D design, and i would definitely have gone that way too rather than scratchbuilding it during my build if i had made the jump sooner.
