ESB(Now ROTJ!) Progress thread

Yep a US9.5 is a UK8.5

you might get away with it wearing thick socks and putting in an insole.

I'm hoping the US9.5 will be ok for my UK size 8 feet!

I am still trying to find to show size conversion tables that are the same but..........mow boots start in 9,5 U.S. - this is something like 8.5 UK . I am a size 7 I am wondering wether the 1.5 difference will be ok or they will be tooooooo big ?
That's probably going to be too big, I ordered mine a half size bigger and they fit right, others do a whole size and they have room, size and a half is probably going to be a tad floppy/heavy towards the toes. But you can try emailing Christian at MOW and see if he could do it to your size. Worth a shot

Thanks for sharing your itemized list of parts and pieces. Helps me see what I will be getting into. Your build looks great!

Glad I could help Squims.

I'm about to fiberglass my MOW gauntlets, just want to make sure I get this correct: I just need to thoroughly wash the gauntlets with dish soap to remove any release agents... then I place the fiberglass mat on a brush the resin over it? Or do I brush on the resin, add the fiberglass mat, then brush on more resin?

I would wash them, then sand them with some 180 or similar grit sandpaper. Then wipe with some acetone.
After cutting you're fiberglass to size, I'd mix the resin and brush a coat down prior to laying in the FG. Then lay glass, brush on to fill fiber and remove excess. I'd start small and do one gaunt at a time, and mix more resin for the next. Sucks to get caught up with it kicking off on the cure.

Not at all, I was really nervous about it at first, but it was SO simple. Buy more than one brush for applying the resin and buy several disposable plastic bowls to mix your resin in for each separate batch.

uploadfromtaptalk1456419208856.jpg Weathered the cape a bit, didn't want to over do it as most of the reference pictures don't show too heavy weathering.

Gorilla glue 5 minute set epoxy. It's the one that says it works on metals and has like 3300 psi hold I think.
