ESB(Now ROTJ!) Progress thread

Weathered the flightsuit a bit more. Placed my order with MOW for the gauntlets and boots as well! Pics of the flight suit coming, just waiting on the weather to not be so crappy.

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with it. :)

I mixed up some grey and black acrylic paints with water, then wiped the suit down with it, making sure while it was super wet to get the edges nice and dark. Then softly went over everything else. After that I scrubbed it down with some chalk pastels, that's where the brown and super light greys came from. Afterwards, I took it outside and stepped on it a bunch, especially in oil stain spots where cars have been parked. Then, I wiped down my car with it lol... especially on the sleeves (which aren't pictured too well here). FINALLY, I gave the shins a nice spray down with grey primer, think I might lighten them up JUST a touch though. Maybe I'll throw it in the wash and see what happens...

Wow that is definitely what I'm talking about, very excellent job...it seems many Fett's are just too afraid to take the dive and dirty up the suit...unfortunately Fett is by nature dirty and worn looking, glad you've made the plunge (y)

I might not weather mine either, at least at first. I figure even Boba Fett must do his laundry sometimes, and I like the crisp look that some of the high-end action figures and replicas have.

When my flight suit arrives I think I'll just wear it when I'm working on the car! I usually end up with a nice array or oil stains and dirt marks
That's a good plan! Initially I was going to go to a local oil change place and ask to roll around and drag myself across their floors for a bit haha.

Boots and gauntlets came today! uploadfromtaptalk1455316151875.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455316168930.jpg

Yep those are the MOW gauntlets, I was worried about them fitting loosely, but it I don't think I'll need trim them all that much if at all! I'll take some more detailed pics.

The boots are SO COMFY. It's like walking on a bouncy house haha. I wore them out to go see deadpool. I wear a 9-9.5US and got the 9.5 size, they fit great. I wasn't expecting the front to look as wide as they do though! Thought Boba had narrower feet from reference pics... It must be to accommodate the spikes.

I am still trying to find to show size conversion tables that are the same but..........mow boots start in 9,5 U.S. - this is something like 8.5 UK . I am a size 7 I am wondering wether the 1.5 difference will be ok or they will be tooooooo big ?
