ESB gauntlet 1

One more note here... the bottom of the rocket should be just below the nape of your neck and the back of the JP should be under the top of your back and collar armor. I think the JP is sitting too high on your back. You can fix this by moving the clips up. I imagine part of the problem could be your height relative to the JP... not much you can do there, but by moving the clips up, you will move the JP down and it will look a little better.

Other than that, it looks great. I think your pants look a little baggie because of your lack of knee pads, but having knee pads should fix that. Also, I think the collar armor isn't so bad. It looks bad in that one picture because there was no back armor attached. It could probably be moved forward a hair, but not significantly. Ditto on the spacing of the armor. It needs to be tighter. But honestly, it all looks pretty great.

Oh, and one more thing... wear the scuba belt around the waist tight. All of the weight of the JP needs to be on your waist, not on your back. The whole purpose of the straps coming out of the back are to just keep the JP vertical. They aren't intended to hold the weight of the JP. I know this because of a Ghostbuster proton pack I have. It weighs 30 pounds and I can wear it for about 4 hours without getting tired, not because my back is strong, but because they weight is held by the waist belt, not the straps.

Looks awesome!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah looking at others the jp is a concern. I moved the brackets up an inch but on out of room on the bottom cause of the access plate. But did do some other adjustments.

Overall, pretty darn good. It took me several times putting it on before I got it right and I still mess up sometimes. Who is helping you get dressed? My wife helps me 90% of the time and I showed her reference photos and explained how each piece works and is setup. It is a great help.

Based on your above photos try to remember the following:

After you put on your cod piece, place your girth belt over it. I generally place half the girth belt over the cod piece and the other half above it.
Next place your belt directly above the cod piece and over the top piece of the girth belt. It looks like your girth belt is not sitting well because it is too short judging from your photo and amount of black strapping you are using. You should only have approx 6-8 inches. So you might need a bigger one.

Lastly, your holster and blaster is too heavy, which is why it is pulling down your ammo part and can likely be why your belt and girth belt are getting misaligned. Try strapping up your holster to an inner belt under the cod piece or some guys figure out to strap it to the scuba belt. But do not use the ammo belt.

Looks awesome, man! I have the exact same problem with mine. Bottom line is that I am too short. If I move the JP down any more, it is too far down and doesn't look right. As it stands, it is too tall. So I will just have to deal with it. I think your adjustments look great! Thanks for posting. I was in the middle of the process of mounting my JP and your post helped me to think though all of the issues... so you really helped me out without knowing it!

Here is mine:

I see that with the holster. Will adjust where to hang it on submission photos.

Bran i think if you move the JP down like an inch, maybe inch and a half it'll be perfect. Most reference shots i have found the thrusters are pretty much in line with the elbows..in those more recent pics they look a little higher than your elbows. Other than that and the couple of things mentioned you are lookin good man!

Thanks for the reply. I'll see what I can work out.
