ESB Fett WIP

There is at least a headless screw (or threaded bolt) that goes through the 2 rods and partially into the discarded squeegee part:

It might be another threaded bolt under the electrical tape, but we can't say for sure, so the image posted speaks to itself.

I used MojoFett's shin tool kit, and the aluminum rods for this shin tool have threaded holes in the side. I cut a couple pieces of threaded rod, screwed them in, and epoxied them in place (one is threaded through both rods), with plenty sticking out into the squeegee cutoff part. They were then glued in place using LePage PL Premium polyurethane glue.

Yeah, as said before, I LOVE Mojo's stuff! Wicked nice! Don't like the prices. So this entire build will probably have no Mojo on it. Especially since my shin tools cost me $2 and a couple hours.

In other news!

So my new goal: One good sized update a day.

So: "Finished" my girth belt:

And my cod piece was put together:

I'll be doing all my sanding, beveling, puttying, and bondoing tomorrow. And before anyone tells me that Boba did not have two Chicago screws on the cod, I know. This part is 100% covered by the girth, and this blemish allowed me to scratchbuild the cod.

In other news: The grey coat has gone of the collar plate; silver to follow.

Finished up my left shoulder today minus the decals. and then I black washed the shoulder, my left chest, my kidney, and my collar.

Outdoor lighting:

Also, I think I found an appropriate color for the gauntlets and helmet. What do the Boba guys think of this?

I reckon some decals need orderin..

Paint your decals, you'll be happy you did later. The effect is much better. I stencil'd mine, let me know if you need any advice on how to do that. RafalFett has some nice templates up in the armor section.

Nice work so far!! The backplate's gonna be a hard road to overcome, but it looks like you have everything under control. Great paint so far, especially with the gauntlet to chest armor comparison.

Filled the detail on the gaunt, and added the back piece! i'll take better pics tomorrow.

Also did the decal for the left shoulder. This is out of the wrapper, and not weathered yet.

What are you using for the backplate? You could probably make your knees with big enough pipe if you make them with two pieces. Seen some ABS and FG that were two pieces.
Looking outstanding so far. So you three leveled the paint? Silver, yellow, then the green with the masking fluid correctly applied in between?
