ESB Fett | Right Gauntlet question

I have a quick question ... or two.

Q: What is this piece called that I have circled in the attached image?

Q: Does anyone have one that I can purchase?

Yeah. ... I'm very close.

Just a few more modifications and I'll be ready for prime time. I would prefer to knock my local 501st garrison leadership away with this setup. He is clever and details matter so I have to bring my "A" game. Still need to ...

TO DO LIST:

  1. Neck seal. Hide the black velcro.
  2. MOAR DIRTY / WEATHERING' for Flight Suit & Pouches & Belt & Vest/Flak & EE-3 Flash Tube & gloves
  3. Paint collar studs
  4. Adjust shin tools pocket lower ... too close to kneepads.
  5. Adjust center chest diamond slightly to my right, magnet pulling? hmm
  6. Move hip pouches toward the front instead of sides of thighs. Reverse LEFT/RIGHT sides. Waist needs some help as I do have diver's buckle and jetpack straps, just cannot see them but maybe that doesn't matter.
  7. Right gauntlet whipcord housing
  8. Left gauntlet flamethrower
  9. Nemrod & Pulce sidearm attachment (not happy yet with placement, you can't see in this pic)

Let me know if you see something else to tweak because I'm not perfect.

Just wanted to say one thing. I was at this event last Friday.

It was a sort-of-star-wars-movie-is-coming-out-soon-so-dress-up-like-star-wars-and-get-treats event. I was so shocked that over 100 people showed up. Grown-ups, teens and tiny kids all had homemade Ewok costumes, Wookiees, storm troopers, Ashoka, Jedi, Sith .... loads of fun.

The best thing that happened that night was one little boy dressed like Boba Fett. The boy was about 7 years old. His parents were not in costume but all three stopped, looked at each other and all three pointed at me at the same damn time .... and said "Oh mah gawd!". The little boy had tried real hard to make his own Boba Fett costume. He had a new Fett Target helm on and was just amazed that a "real" Boba Fett (me) was there. Needless to say, he wanted a picture with me and him. His parents whispered to me "he's loved Boba Fett since the first time he saw Empire. It's his favorite character." The dad whispered to me after the mom and boy left to get snacks, "you know, I've always thought Boba Fett was the best Star Wars character. He's my favorite."

It was great. It was the highlight of my year.

Thanks thedentedhelmet.com for all your support and inspiration. The months and months of effort, muchos $$$, and tips from all of you helped make that 7 yr old's face light up in joy when he saw me in my kit.

It makes it all worth it when something like that happens. I was at a event at Toys R Us when I still had my commander cody. There was a little boy dressed as Rex and he stopped, snapped to attention, and saluted me. It was amazing being in the military (and a fairly low rank) being saluted by an amazed little boy was one of the best experiences I have had in the 501st!

Its all worth it when stuff like that happens. It happened to me with a child a little younger at a church event here in texas.

Mine isnt ESB but is a post-sarlacc-escape suit based from me reading the books.
