ESB Boba Fett from Oz

BobaTone

New Hunter
I am a lifelong Fett fan and am nearing the end of my ESB Boba Fett journey.
I looked into putting together a costume a few years ago and realised just how expensive it was going to be, especially the cost in all that postage to Australia.
About this time last year a mate offered me his kit and to pay him off over time. If it wasn't for him and a VERY understanding wife I wouldn't be so close to my dream right now.
I've spent the past year mainly working myself into the ground trying to pay it off and working on it only on holidays (I wanted to enjoy the experience, not turn it into more work).
I have reworked and resized most parts as the previous owner is about 4 - 5 inches shorter than me.
I've sourced new boots, a Flightsuit (that didn't work out well) and still need new knee darts as mine are inaccurate, and missing one after wearing it on a test troop.
Right now I am sourcing a new Flightsuit and have minor details to correct, repair/make more useable. I also mainly have to repaint and add final details to my gauntlets.
Still so near, yet so far. But it's the home stretch and I'm looking forward to it finally being completed.
I'll update this thread with some pics and walkthroughs of my work along the way.

I have worked for about a week with my daughter to create a new Flightsuit. I am incredibly happy with the result as it is far better than either of the suits I had before, and in the process it was tailored to me perfectly. We just took our time to make sure it was accurate and would meet the CRL. I got the colour perfect but my weathering went too heavy and I'll have to strip it out and start again. I used the same technique as on my Tusken Raider, but this fabric really soaked up and held too much staining after the first wash.
I have sourced a supplier for my knee darts and am saving up to purchase. I have been told none are in stock anyway and so I'll be waiting until they arrive.ere
I am going to keep myself busy in the meantime by finishing the gauntlets.
It's getting there.

Progress pics as requested :) :

As shown here I still need to weather the suit more, knee darts need updating and Gauntlet rework still to be done.
It was a rushed & scruffy look for the photos as my helper was leaving and I had to suit up in a hurry.
It's getting there.

I'm no expert but looks good to me!
I just think the helmet is too long and does not fit you well, the side pictures are very notorious.
You might also want to tighten the flightsuit, both in your arms and butt, as it looks too loose.

Fair call Viarpe, my Helmet was actually propped up with a foam pad on the top of my head that morning. My hot-glued hard hat inner had busted free just before suiting up = i needed a quick fix.
It does sit lower than that normally.
I was going to get the arms tailored better to make it easier to fit my Gauntlets on, but yes my inner & outer sleeves and legs need a bit of tailoring.

FYI, the ammo belt is worn above the girth belt. The girth belt covers much of the cod and butt armor. Consider tailoring your neck seal as well, looks a bit baggy.
Armor looks great!
