Cruzer gauntlet conversion to ROTJ

Hey guys, I just wanted to share my current project. I'm converting a pair of my gelcoat fiberglass Jango gauntlets into a pair of wearable ROTJ gauntlets for my latest Boba acquisition. First thing I did was scratch build a keypad area from 1/8" sheet styrene that could be added to the left gauntlet. Once that was done, I mold and casted it in the same material as the gauntlets. I then attached it with CA glue and applied a layer of fiberglass cloth and resin to the underside for strength. I just finished spraying a coat of Dupli-Color burgandy on them to seal and smooth out the areas where body filler has been used so far. There's still a lot of work to do but here's how they look as of right now.

Any contructive critism is greatly appreciated. (y)

Thanks,
Cruzer

I just added a few more of the shells and will add more as I continue to work on these today and through the weekend. I hope to have them completed by this weekend in anticipation for an event next weekend. Thanks (y)

I decided to have some fun with this since I was scratch building the flamethrower. I got the idea from Slavefive when he had his custom Mando. This was perfect because my 13 year old son loves playing with laser pointers and will be debuting the costume for us at a "weaponless" night Christmas parade on Dec. 4th. The tubes are scavenged from cheap dollar store laser pointers, and the jumbo LEDs and emitter tips are from RadioShack...

Thanks guys. Here's the progress on the right gauntlet so far. I also made the whipcord greeblies with the brass fittings. However, they're a tad heavier than I'd like, so I'm going to try molding one for resin copies. I've also been tossing around ideas for making the pouches lighter (y)
