Cheapest gloves and boots?

Neo Fett

Active Hunter
Hey all,
I'm looking for boots and gloves but from what I can find the boots are around $200 and gloves around $80. Are there any cheaper alternatives?

There are threads about how much you will spend creating a complete Fett - New to TDH? Read this about how much you will spend!

Absolutely agree with Drax's statement, the only "cheap" alternatives are scratch built, or used items scored from the cargo hold. There have been a lot of people who have created amazing scratch built costumes. I am not one of those people.

The price for boots, about $200 is what you will spend for MOW boots...I recommend, but that's not in everyone's budget....The $80 you quote for gloves is actually less expensive than other suppliers...

This is not a "poor man's game" so to speak. I am as cheap as anyone, and I do not recommend trying to go "cheap" on anything...Most times, for me at least, I have ended up spending more money in the end...You may not be satisfied with the cheap route...

Unfortunately, quality goods are not cheap, and sourced out commissions are not cheap either...

What kind of accuracy are you going for? The reason I ask is you can scratch build the boots for pretty cheap but they probably wont pass 501st standards. Here's a link to an old thread about making boots. Use the search function and you'll see that multiple scratch built threads exist with how they were made. Best of luck to you!

I happen to have an extra pair of parade gloves (found part) you'd have to add the padding on the backs of the hands and fingers. Pm me if you're interested.

When I was getting into building Boba Fett I knew I would be spending a lot, I was just hoping there would be a little money saving lol.

You are going to spend money or time.......but either way you will be spending. Money=Time

Time waiting for a deal or time spent creating.

I sort of Echo what everyone else here has said. I'm on sort of version 4 of my custom armor. All of the money I spent on previous versions trying to save money I could have easily bought quality stuff the first time around, which is the philosophy I'm using this time around. The only real way to save money is to scratch build or look for used deals. Like for instance you just missed a guy here who got rid of used Fett Gloves for about 30 bucks each. I'm constantly looking for deals, so to save money in that regard you have to be patient. Scratch building takes a lot of time, skill and you'll still spend a good bit in materials and tools if you don't already have what you need. I have an extra set of ESB large MOW gloves that I'm willing to let go for considerably cheaper. They are brand new in the plastic still, just too small for my extra large hands. PM me if you are interested and I'll cut you a deal if you are in the US
