Hello.

I have never tried to make anything like this before.
Its not very exact in any way, I just wanted to try...
I used it to deliver the cake for my 6 year old sons birthday.
(R2 D2 cake)

The helmet missing some stuff, like the arrows, the "mic" etc, but I will do them as soon as I find a proper visor.
The one I made was from a transparent plastic sheet and car window film, but you cant realy see out...

Its a budget build, the most expencive was the ammobelt that I bought ready, 35€ the rest is "home made"
Its not in scale or accurate in any way, but I like it

Anyway, here are some pics:

Excluding all the inaccurate parts, you did a great job on this, and I think the armor paint looks better then some of the paint jobs done on FP or RKD armors (I'm talking strictly about the paint and not the armor itself). The most important thing is if your son was happy and liked the suit, then you have fulfilled your goals.

Thank you!

Yes, he was very happy!

Like I said, budget, I think I spent all in all 70€ on everything and that was a challenge in it self...

This is pretty inspiring stuff mate i know that its not accurate but the passion and the attention to detail in the paint is awsome! All for 70€ too!!! Wow! Did you sew all the soft parts too?

Thank you. i like to paint...it was the funniest part of the suit!

Yes I did the soft parts as well, bought fabric in IKEA for a few €.

Did the vest, neck, cape, ankle stuff, pockets, belt etc. The flight suit is a normal painters jumpsuit in white, sew the leg pockets and cut of the neck, had some black fabric tint that I just used a little bit to get the colour. Cost me 5€...

Here are some more pics, allso of the R2D2 cake that i made
