Now the LED are attached

And Voila:

After that I added a layer of black acustic cloth. So the spots are not that bright and diffuse. This should get the models more in focus.

You see the effect in the right area:

... and the whole...

Now the modell are getting displayed. I put the Models with the lowest scale to the floor. This way I they to get at least some perspective into the scence. Came out Petty nice, or what do you think?

So, I have no more Death Star tiles, so I am stuck for the time being. Next steps are to complete the death star surface. Then I will put in a pane of glass. Finally it will be integrated into the Boba Fett scence by using the same wall panels.

Good lord, I have never seen so many star wars costumes on display in a private home before. Maybe 2 tops but this takes the cake. And every thing is so creatively displayed. I wish I had a basement for a home theater set up and for props

Thanks to Loanstar my ROTJ Boba finally got a nice pair of gloves. Great work!!! That was the last remaing part to complete the costume.

Sweet setup. Good job completing your ROTJ boba. You have to take a panoramic view of everything when you're done and post it.
Marc, where did you get the Luke head? It almost looks like an up scaled hot toys dx 07 bespin Luke head

This is indeed a hommage to the great dx07. I love this figure. The look of the face is so great. It reminds to Lukes appearance in ANH just in an ESB outfit and style. I thought it might be cool, to go from here for a life size build.

You do know your RoTJ is painted incorrectly?

I have no idea and - to be honest- I do not really care. My focus is not, to have a precise reproduction of a screen used prop, but to have an idealsized figure, that matches my imagination of the character. In this respect I am very happy with the outcome. In my opinion the Boba looks so real, that you think, he will move every minute. It is s cool statue and that is all I want. I can understand and respect the enthusiasm for screen accurance, but do not share it.

Hi crumdum, please do not get me wrong. I am very thankful for all the help the members of our great forum provide. And of course I really appreciate every tipp, to make things better. I was just not quite sure, what benefit I could draw from your statement. But I am sure your remark was intended to be constructive. So I hope my reaction came not out too rude. That was not my intention. So please, never mind[emoji6]

Marc,
I never replied to your first response because it's your stuff so obviously how authentic you make it is totally your call. It was very hard to make out any details on your first pictures you posted but the latest ones you posted 3 days ago have some obvious painting differences even from that distance. I figured if you were willing to pay for authentic RoTJ gloves you might want to know some easy paint fixes to make the costume more authentic. Would anyone but the .00001% of the world who know Boba Fett notice...probably not...but you might.

The image above (bigger image found here) is the exact same pose as your costume...and the rocket is painted very differently. It's completely up to you if you want to paint it more accurate or not. There are other armor painting differences...but the rocket really jumps out.

Thank you for sharing this. You are absolutly right about the missle. In deed this is a provisional one. It is a resin rocket, that is about to be replaced by a aluminium one from Dakota. It has just still to get its weathering.

The gloves are an interesting issue itself. I suppose, the former gloves have been more accuracte, than the new ones (except the missing weathering and the wrong color). But I have to admitt, that I do not really like the thin officer gloves style. I just like heavier gloves more for a Boba. This is one of the things I had in mind, when I said, that I would like to have a more idealsized Boba Fett.

I also plan to replace the shin tools.

I guess, that this will not be the last improvement. I suppose, a build will never be really finished. So please tell me, what concrete things you have in mind, I could work on. I am thankful for any concrete hint.

Marc,
Without detailed, close-up photos of your Boba Fett from all angles it becomes difficult to help. As you stated previously your goal was not to make a precise reproduction of a screen used prop, but to have an idealsized figure that matches your imagination of the character. No one really but you knows what this would be. If you were angling for a specific version of Boba Fett, knowing which version of Boba Fett would help others here help you make your costume more authentic if that is what you want. In the past I have shared observations on what I saw as wrong with a costume...but that doesn't diminish what you currently have...because frankly its still awesome. I don't like spending the time critiquing a costume for someone that doesn't really care...but the only opinion that matters on the subject is yours of course.
