For this ROTJ Flight suit I have used a 65/35 poly/cotton fabric.
In my opinion this is the perfect color for a rotj
What do you mean?

Let me know.

Your suggestions are welcome!

older info 01/03/08Hi everybody,

the new year has just begun and my batteries are full charged to start a new project that I had in mind for over 2 years.

I want to make a high detailed Boba Fett flight suit and would like to ask you for your help and for your feedback to make this flight suit as accurate as possible.

Here are some pics of the base type.
On this one I have used a blended fabric.
The original will be in 100% cotton.

Your suggestions are welcome!

Double sided zipper!

Also it looks great. The pocket placement with where the knees are is good.

Do you have a loop up inside the right sleeve for the tubes to attach too?

If you are going to do a run of these let me know I am in!

Looks pretty good but is this suppose to be ESB or ROTJ?.
The flight suit looks like ESB with ROTJ Equipment such as the spats, utility belt, and """".

Sweet! Love the weathering...

Just me but shouldn't the utility tools pocket placement be reversed? With the smaller/thinner tools on the outside and the bigger ones on the inside of the leg?

Stay safe,

Tim.

The only thing I would ask about is the length of the short sleeve. It looks a little bit too long. This is only a question, I am still in "Fett School" myself.

Your flightsuits have been top notch and I am sure you will nail this one too!!

I am sure there are plenty of TDH'ers looking forward to this!

I have one other question. Is the detail at the end of the long sleeve supposed to have the same seams as the short sleeve does?

I am glad to see the fly over the zipper! I know I have seen that as a screen accurate detail. Everyone seems also to want
a pleated detail at the belt area. It is barely visible. I don't think I have actually seen the pleats in a screen pic, but
everyone is very insistent that this is important.

I know you won't be lacking for interest on this one!!

Dear Tim,

yes you are right, I checked the Fett r. CD, here is a picture that was made by CKING - AoSW, UK 02 and it shows how the pockets should look like.

Dear Admins / CKing, if I´m not allowed to show this photo plz let me know.

I agree that the "short" sleeves appear to be too long. But other than that, I'M IN !!! If you do a run of course  I'll be starting my 3 and last Fett display this year, so I'm going to start my grocery list, and this is obviously the main course.

I haven't kept up for a long time on what is accurate material ect. So forgive my possible ignorance. But the material you used for the suit in the pics, looks great ! You say "blended", I'm assuming poly/cotton. The close ups of the material you used just look right ! Someone educate me ?

And very nice job on the weathering! Oh, and cute pooch too

Will you be offering these in different shades? I'm Pre-Pro 2 and the flightsuit is darker then both ESB and ROTJ. I agree about the short sleeve too- a little too long.

take care,

Phil

LadySewforus,
Fettpride,

thanks for the suggestions.
I will make the upperarm sleeves a little shorter.

About the pleated detail at the belt area.
The following picture showes the belt area on the original suit.

The suit looks great apart from the comments already made... (y)
IF and when you decide to do a run? what would your costs be? ;)

I wonder why everyone seems to want the pleated detail on the belt? I have never seen it on a pic, but it seems to be wanted. I am sure that your flightsuits will be tot notch and accurate.

Cheers!

I definitely will do a run on the flight suits with also different shades but first we have to nail down every inch of the suit to make it as accurate as possible.

Well,

attaching a neckseal to the vest has some drawbacks.
Its possible but,

- I would need the exact fabric that is used on the vest
- if you already have a vest with a different fabric you wont mix it
- this would put the price for the flight suit up

I'm still watching with much interest ;)

Will you be doing the neck seal and attaching it?

FP

Very nice... and still very interested ;)
Great work on the upgrades bro... (y)

I agree the neck seal may be an issue with others that may or may not have the correct materials to match their vest? If that makes sense?
