Into battle with the anglegrinder (Metal ESB)

THE THREAD TITLE SHOULD SAY Into battle with the anglegrinder (Metal ROTJ) NOT anything about HELMETS...

So I finaly started my Esb suit. Im working in 0.8 mm (dunno what that is in inches) and 2 mm gauge steel plates. Will post pics as it progresses.
Currently finished with 1 chestplate since i managed to ruin the other one with the anglegrinder, the collar, gutplate and the shoulder pieces.

I managed to fit this into a school project, so I also get some school fundings for buying steel/clay/and whatnot I will require

Phew, lots of text for a non-englishspeaker, so on with a few pictures:

The picture that inspired the threadtitle

As you van se, i bend the edges all thre way around to create a smooth edge around the whole plate.

First go, now one of these are finished, the other one in the trash

Just a quick question about the helmet dimensions of the helmet made by Bobamaker.

ps: oh yes, and hello everyone, longtime lurker finaly decided to post something. Im norwegian so sorry if there are some gramatical errors. (y)

Hei, du er ikke alene om å være fra Norge nei.
Hyggelig med litt selskap.
Translation:
Hi, you are the only one from Norway.
Nice with some company

:)

Did some more work today... This project will be well documented by photography, a side-effect from it being a school assignment:eek:

This is how I bent my shoulders... I just took a log the size of my arms, and bent them around it.

:cheers

Testing out some denting on a ruined chestplate and another piece of metal.

Replacement chestplate.

I skiped a bit in the pictures, but here you see the back side of my belt.

These are now riveted (is that what its called?) together. Creating not a totaly canon belt, but I do like it anyway.

TADA!

The other parts, (yes they are bent, you just cant see it in this picture)

I think I bent my shoulderplates a tad to much
