Beware of propcollections on ebay (jet pack related)

Police are involved now

I have this guys home address and phone number after paying $115.00 to him on May 17th and still nothing arrived and he does not answer any emails. I called the local town police in the town he lives in and sent decumentation to the detectives. I spoke to thwm on the phone and they are sending someone out to his house today to investigate this.
Anyone else need to join in on the case should email me for the police phone number and details.
 
Well after waiting several weeks with no reply, I finally broke down and sent him a nasty e-mail. And low and behold I get a response about 2 min later, and have now gotten 3 more since then. His answer to all of our problems is that his resin supplier ran is on strike and he can't get resin to make the jet packs. As soon as he can get them made he will send them out (or so he says). He also replied to me in a very harsh tone, so I said I would have a little talk with my business lawyer and his tone changed very quickly. He also just kept telling me to file a claim with paypal and they would refund my money. I did so and perhaps soon I will have my money back. I doubt anyone will see any jet packs soon. He did ask me to ask everyone to not send him threats because all that does is "drop their name to the bottom of the list". But I would send him dirty letters just because that is all he seems to respond to.

I sent him a nasty email, he hasn't responded. I'm going to call my credit card company and get a refund.

There's tons of places you can purchase resin from online. Sure the prices may vary but the issue here is customer service, and if you as a manufacturer may have to pay a bit more to keep a happy customer that may do return business and send other customers your way, then it's all worth it.

Not only does this Jackass treat his customers with disdain, he also threatens to send you to the back of the line on his waiting list for requesting an item that's already been paid for. This violates so many commerce laws it's actually sad. This guy is a real gem!

I'd say to those waiting on products to request your money back ASAP from whichever method you used for payment. I have a bad feeling that this guy won't be around long and may cut and run.

Granted....stuff happens that cause people delays in supplying a product. However, it's the lack of communication with this guy that makes everything so much worse. I am so glad that his bad communication skills stopped me from buying one. Otherwise....I'd be in the same boat as all of you. I had asked him a couple of questions and he responded within an hour or so. I asked him another question a couple of days later and no response. That alone made me nervous enough to think twice.....and then the stuff started appearing here about him. Thank goodness for this board!

If anyone needs to file a report for fraud again this propcollections guy please email me and I will give you the officer's info that is already working on this case. I will not post his private info on a public forum like this. We have 2 complaints already and the more we get the better the chance we have against this guy and possibly getting our money back and or getting him convicted of internet fraud.

I'm not up on the internet fraud laws, but I do know that once it reaches a certain dollar amount (usually around $750-1000) theft becomes a felony.

I bought a stormtrooper blaster kit from the guy when he first started selling. It took him nearly a month just to get it in the mail. When it finally arrived I got DINGED another $21.00 COD for shipping. It wouldn't have bothered me too much, but the kit was junk. The barrel was Sooo warped. I contacted him about it and he promised to get a replacement out to me. That was like a month ago, still nothing :-(
I guess it all comes down to you get what you pay for, and the price was just too good to be true.

it pisses me off to see so many people get screwed by this guy. I started this thread in hopes of turning a few potential customers away from him. Its a shame someone didnt send out a warning sooner. To anyone that is waiting for product from this ass, dont wait any longer. His excuse of resin not being available is the biggest crock ive ever heard. stop waisting time and report him to the proper authoreties. Trust me when i tell you, youre not gonna like quality of product he puts out! He (propcollections) emailed me asking me why i was bad mouthing him on the boards. He said "You know the castings i sent you were perfect". Yeah, maybe in the bizzaro world you could call that perfect! The missle on my jet pack was not only warped, it was full of bubbles, resin snot globs, and chunks of RTV that were torn from the mold! I hope all of you get your refunds or some sort of restitution from this. If anyone needs a phone # or address for this CLOWN just PM me.

What this clueless person by the name of Daron fails to realize to this date is the fact that he was selling items on Ebay that he did not have in hand as they were not produced by his own admission by saying he ran out of resin and that people will get their items ASAP.

As far as I know, this is against Ebay rules. The item being sold in the description and pictures should be the item the winning bidder should be receiving, if not, this is fraud!

There are other reputable dealers where you can purchase and receive a quality JP.

Each have their pluses and minuses, ease of assembly, ready to paint or not, etc.

MLC JP's are not inexpensive at $340- nor can we ship out the next day or even week. As each JP is made to order, we have a 5-6 week turnaround time. Mardon is nearing to full recovery from his recent gallbladder surgery, so that's good news!

Our JP is made of fiberglass, sanded smooth and primered gray. Rocket and Thrusters are removable for storage.
Your JP harness can be attached to the two U-bars inside the jet pack by the removable access panel.

PM me for more details. I work 2 jobs, 6-7 days a week, so sometimes it may be a few days before I get the opportunity to check my PM's :(

hey , don`t fell bad. I bought a jet pack from another vendor on ebay for a lot more money, and it was thin and vacuum formed and look like it was made by a preschool child, but with alot of time and the help from my sister (who is a very good customizer when it comes to my projects) we put the kit together and it turned out nice and I have had alot of good comments .

Holly crap none of you will belive what showed up at my door step today... the crappiest looking jet pack I have ever seen. But at least it came and now I am only mildly pissed.
