attaching a heiland or MPP within blaster barrel?

What is the best way to attach a flash tube within the barrel of a Webley? Has anyone found a threaded ring that fits nicely within the barrel so that the tube can be screwed in/out? I searched around quite a bit and could not seem to find an answer to this.

Also, what is the correct orientation of holes and amount of exposure from the end of the barrel? I saw one thread that said about 5 inches. Thanks for any help with these questions.

What I did was take painters tape and wrap it around the tube untill its snugly fit inside the barrel. It doesnt come out and can collapse when not in service.

The MPP tube on the original prop was held in place by the from scope clamp. The front clamp goes around the tube while the rear one goes around the Webley barrel. To make it fit tight you could use tape as mentioned above or a piece of tubing (pvc, rubber, etc). Cut a slit down the length of the tubing so it will compress for a good fit.

The threaded ring idea isn't bad except that you'd have to remove or at least loosen the front clamp to take the tube out.

I have glued the First scope clamp on the Webleybarrel.
then I attached two screws on the bottom of the Scope clamp. With this screws you can fit the tube perfectly.
I have cut off the heads from the screws and dremel in a slot.
Hope that helps!

Awesome! Thanks for the response. I never even noticed that the barrel ring in the front goes directly around the flash tube so that is good to know. I will play around with some options and see what works best.
