General Armour Sizes

Hi Fetts,
This question should have probably come way earlier in my build.
I'm have RS armour - and very nice it is too. But the back piece seems too long so that my jetpack harness bars (that are in the correct place on my vest) sit behind the back place.
Shouldn't they stick out of the bottom or do I need to cut holes in the back piece?
I couldn't find any photos that show the back plate without the jetpack on.
I'm 5'7 and I don't think I can trim anymore from the top of the back plate.

How should it sit and is there some armour makers making armour that's smaller than others?

The bars of the jetpack harness should be on the outside of the back plate. Check out post #40 in this thread. It has a file that is a description of how a replica screen accurate harness is supposed to mount.

Thanks Drax,
That makes sense and we assumed that was the case.
Must have a short torso so will have to see if I can find a shorter back plate from somewhere, only needs to be an inch I reckon

Also I forgot to add that some venders do offer different sizes. I know that RKD offers two different sizes so you may try to reach out to him. RKD has been back off and on but nothings been said about him coming back permanently so he may not respond fast. Best of luck finding a backplate that fits.

Here you go...you cant see exactly but it should be right around the bottom of the backplate where the bars are you can kinda see where they rub the backplate
