501st name on your armor's LCD display?

I think standard opperating procedure for most garrisons, is pics. At least thats how I did it...but they gotta be GOOD pics!!!!

Pictures, but if I troop with you and notice something wrong after approval that couldn't be captured/wasn't noticed in the pictures, then I'll ask you to fix/upgrade at your leisure.

..........but then again how often have you been called Jango?????

Kind of cool idea, but would it not be BH number?

Also, sometimes accurate is not enough.....I think a suit should have the correct look and presence. Some accurate things look bad up close, and a split second shot can be a let down in reality, but I understand rules is rules and having as many found parts and stuff make it all the better. The deeper into fett you get the more anal you get about the type of strap on the rear of the girth................

Honestly, I think I've been around the block a time or two in the Legion and here at TDH and I've got to tell you... I don't see a single GML in the Legion actually paying that much attention to a costume to tell what the LEDs are spelling out. Sure, they'd notice in person but how could you tell from a helmet on and off pic that a candidate emails you? I was one of the membership liaisons for the Legion for a few years and I never saw any pics that detailed from anyone. Nor would I expect to. As long as the person has the chest lights, I'd dare say that'd be good enough.

I have scanned through all the posts here. One thing I have not seen mentioned is that by 501st rules, you can wear nothing that identifies you as an individual. Be it a name tag, TK id tag or a Mercedes Benz hood ornament hanging on a gold chain around your neck. Will your sequence get picked up in a photo? Maybe not. You will know it is there. You will know that you are breaking a rule. And at some point, someone else will notice it too.

That said...I do think it is a cool idea :)

Guys, may I chime in from a UK perspective..... As one of the GML's in this thread said, Boba Fett is a 'Face' character... therefore, all details of such a character should be scruitinised by a GML and only passed if the costume is accurate from all aspects....in my humble opinion. This is what we do in the UK for Fett. It's like Darth Vader, you cannot have a sloppy Darth Vader costume as there are only a few of them in the UK and secondly the amount of photo opps and attention Vader attracts is more than what a regular TK gets. The same applies to Fett... Therefore logic dictates the Fett costume must be accurate as possible...due to the attraction it will receive. However, we also have 'clean' TK's for some events, these are regarded as have super shiney and 'accurate' armour for publicity events...

Having said that, a programmable chest display would be cool....

Rob... now what was that about the girth buckle......? lol

Ha, actually I didn't. I had read through the posts without looking at dates! I only stuck my nose in because it seemed to be an unresolved issue. Oh well, the joke's on me :)

Cheers

What about all the TK's out there who have the Imperial cog and aurebesh lettering on their left shoulder bell? Thats not movie accurate but doesn't attract censure from the Legion.
