10 Webley Kits - Official Commitment List

Glad you like it. Hopefully it lives up to everyone expectations.

Make sure you post pics as you work on it. I think spidey is fully finishing one, paint primer sanding all. Im curious to see how it turns out.

Yeah, I got mine the other day. Very satisfied with it but I still haven't figured out how a few pieces connect.

Can't wait for the ESB greebs set!

Looks pretty dogone good. Can you list/post what all you had to do to it to make it look liek that? Or is it pretty much exacto/trimmed and glued?

I just want people to get a good idea of what they should expect.

I cant believe how much the grip shines. You must have painted it?

Even the wood looks decent. Alumilite said if you dry brush on a lighter brown/read or darker brown/black it should make them look like wood. But I havent tried it. Maybe I will with a throw away stock.

UPDATE:
Sending out pms for seconds today. Should get them all shipped by the end of the week. The new molds are coming along. Still waiting on a greeble or two to arrive, but things are definitally moving.

Thanks
m2

M2,

I didnt paint anything. I will however paint everything black and gun metal when the ROTJ greebs arrive. I put two screws with Amazing Goop thru the D-bracket to connect with the stock. I glue the hammer and trigger in with Superglue. The Triggerguard has two small screws in it. The triggerguard has holes already there to guide people to place them there. I hope this helps.

Feel free to take a pic and ask away. The hammer and trigger have excess plastic on them on purpose. So you can sand them to the angle you want them. Its a little time consuming but that way you can put it in and have a cocked hammer or closed, a pulled or un-pulled trigger (pulled allows you to not break it:))

I received 1, with a possibility of 2 responses to the PM's for the SECONDS list.

I received 1 payment. That guns being shipped to canada in 2 packages thursday.

Ill leave the offers open until I return tuesday of next week, and then Im stopping the seconds run as well, until I make a new barrel mold.

Once the new molds made ill contact the people on the initial list once more. And then open it up to anyone that wants one, as well as offer up cleaner casts of small parts free if they are needed and larger parts for the rough cost of shipping if there were any problems with any of them.

At that point, ill remove the run list, and take onsey twosey orders until the molds are shot, and then that will be end of the SR webley, at least in this incarnation.

thanks,
m2

Yeah, I figured it out after I typed that message. :p

But yeah, very nice kit. I'm glad I was part of this run. (y)

Just need the ESB greebys!

Thanks again.

UPDATE:

Im back in town. I have to make a stock and a couple small parts, and then two kits will go out tomorrow.

DisposablHero
and
Frb13

I spoke with the mail office this morning and she doesnt think theres a problem sending to canada. Shes checking on ireland. (For mc)

Both guns should ship tomorrow, and I should be receiving some plug ends from Art to put in rubber this week.

Thats the end of the gun orders until I make a new barrel mold. Which I want to start tonight/tomorrow.

More soon.

Got my set M2. Incredible castings, the seamless barrel is outstanding and I love how it all slots together nice and tight.

^ ^ Good to hear. See the scrape on the rubber barrell? Its not big by any means, but it needs to not be there for rubber, cause you cant clean it up.

Regardless, you should be able to make an unbreakable blaster out of that right:) ?

Spideyfett, did you get yours done for the prop show?

The post office says I can send it with minimal worry it wont make it.

*shrug*

On another note, the mold I made of spideys scope, isnt going to work the way I wanted.

I dont like seam lines. Against my better judgement I made one with seam lines. Im not happy with it at all.

I only need the scope ends. Does anyone know of a knockoff scope thats very similar (one of the cheapies).

I should have everything else en-route and ready to go, but the scope is still giving me fits.

Im building the clay mount for the barrel now, so it can go into rubber this weekend.

The only two I pulled went to spideyfett and shabad. Shabad has the one with the scuff on it. He may be inclined to share some photos of his gun once he gets it put together.

As for parts im still waiting for acurate scope rings from shabad, and the plug ends from art.

Once those arrive its about 7 days of molds and then ill be ready to pull greeble kits.

UPDATE:
Im irritated and frustrated.

The greeble kits are at an utter stand still. Ive ordered scopes, and parts, ive sent hundreds of pms, and I cant actually get anything in my hands.

Im going to attempt through next week to get the parts in i need for this project, and If i cant, im pulling the plug on it permanently.

Im just really tired of spinning my wheels. I cant waste entire weeks doing molds for little parts, onesey twosey, and I cant make any headway on getting everything I need in my hands. I have held off on making the new molds for the gun because I dont want to open up and start weighing and measuring a 5 gallon tub of silicone out, until I had everything I need, but it seems as soon as I get a lead on something, it goes no where.

Ill know by next friday (March 6th) what I intend to do with the greeble kits, and recreating the gun barrels.

I thought id give you all the heads up.

My 'sense of community' has turned in to 'are you done yet?

Again, ill have a timeline and more info by next friday.

UPDATE:
The new barrel mold is clayed, and the first of 4 pours done.

The last two seconds kits are almost ready. I have to back fill the stocks with hardening foam today, and either ship this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

No sign of a greeble. Ill give it till thursday and then make a final decision on greeble kits.

I have only to send out the kit for the free drawing and then my plates clear.

Im in the middle of the barrell mold, and the new grip, slide, trigger, guard and hammer molds.

When they are done ill pm anyone that wanted a gun on the first list.

On the greebles, unfortunately, thus far, ive hit a dead end on everyone that was going to send me parts to make a mold of.

The rings and the plug ends are MIA, and I dont know that they will arrive. I have a suitable scope, and a mold of the knobs ready to go, but If I cant get all of the parts, Im going to cancel the greeble kits.

I may make mounts and mold them, but im not 100% sure atm.

I do know that theres no reason for me to make a greeble kit if its not acurate. As there are already un-acurate ones and acurate ones available. I dont do this to make money, so I see no reason to force the issue.

Tomorrow I leave town, and come back sunday. If i dont have anything in my hands, ill post and let you guys know its a wash.

All other borrowed parts have been returned to their respective owners.

Thanks
m2
