The Special Edition revisited the Original Trilogy, updating and re-mastering the films. Lucas is quoted to have said that the Original Trilogy was never quite finished and believed that technology had finally caught up with his vision, allowing him to 'finish' the films. The SE had added Boba Fett to A New Hope, altered his voice in the Empire Strikes Back to better match Jango Fett's & extended his appearance in Return of the Jedi.
