Found Parts

From Star Wars Costume Wiki

Many parts of Star Wars costume are "found parts". Found parts are pieces and parts of real world items which have been repurposed as part of the costume. It is much easier to add a found part to a costume than to create it from scratch. Found parts are sometimes referred to as "greeblies" which are details on a larger part that give it more complexity and depth. Greebliles are often pieces from model kits which have been glued on to a larger costume part.
