Liking the ROTJ helmet paint up you've got going there. The misting you did on the left side red trim behind the ear should also be on the right side trim.... similarly not the same pattern but something I noticed you might wanna mask that silver area and mist a bit there

After looking at reference you are quite right!

Also for those that are curious the silver on the ears is painted with model masters metalizer: Aluminum plate and then sealed with the metalizer sealer. After you've finished painting the battle damage over the ears take some steel wool and scratch the paint with it... It will look as close to machined aluminum you can get without it actually being aluminum.

Yes where they join

The collar just has a pair of holes in each side, into which fit the pair of posts (screws) on each part of the back's shoulders.

I have my screws mounted in a small plastic tab on the underside of each shoulder, as the ABS of the back seemed thin there, but I don't think you need to go to that length:

Just let me know if this isn't clear or you need some other shot.

That helps! But how do they look when they are together?

Thanks

Not Sure how I am about this fit :/ Might order a RKD collar and back plate now..... the RS prop Collar and Backplate didn't meet up right and I might of cut too much off. :/

Great work, it looks amazing. So the ultimate question with no wrong answer because they're all awesome - what made you pick ROTJ?

So I"ve decided to start my own costume!!! though I don't know if I will be able to make the helmet in time? for comic con. Here's hoping. I will be making two sets one for my wife and for myself.

Here is what I have so far...

All the parts are made from SintrIMG_2664[1].JPGa (spelled right I hope). I have some designs in mind but don't really know what it will look like until I make it.

thanks, will post on my next update
