Flak vest question, shiny out?

Probably been asked many times, but here's my turn.
Could I get y'all's general consensus on the shiny vs dull side out on the flak vest and neck seal?
Looks better to me seeing the dull side out on the vest, but seems in the gallery pics to be shiny side out, and I'd like to hear some input.
Going for screen accuracy on the ESB build, so need this right too.

Don't know if it's the same for esb, but I find keeping shiny side out lets you dull it with weathering better. If you have the dull side out and then take it down further, you will lose too much of the shine.

Mine is shiney out. Deathproof is very right about the weathering.

I was also curious about everyone's opinion on this.. I went ahead and ordered shiny side out on both.

looking at the promo pics in the gallery of both esb and rotj, i'd feel pretty safe advising someone that the vest is dull side out and the neckseal is shiny. and if you're worried about over-weathering, i would suggest not weathering it too much.
