Weather-proof propping

Dornier

New Hunter
I'm making some SW props for the holidays this year, and I was thinking of sintra and general closed cell styrofoam (covered with something like EZ 120).

How is sintra in outdoor conditions? Rain?

I have some 4mm HIPS that would work, but I'd still like to know what my options could be/aren't.

thanks in advance.

Sintra should do fine in the rain. The only time you may need to worry about it is if you leave it in your car on a hot day. I'm pretty sure that resin sealed foam will do just fine in the rain as well, but I've never tried it.
