Heading to Vegas for Halloween, have some questions.

I can`t remember if I have asked this on here before, I don`t think I have so please bear with me.

As my costume nears completion, The wife and I will be traveling to Las Vegas from Canada with some friends for Halloween.

Now I have a few questions, primarily aimed at international travelers that have transported their costume internationally this includes blasters and side arms. Did you encounter any issues with transport or at border security? How did you package your costume in order to transport it? Should I bring any kind of documentation with me in order to remove any possible doubt that the costume is just that, a costume.

Next would be a question for anyone that has been to Vegas with their Fett, did you have any issues entering into any of the casinos or restaurants with your blasters etc?

While researching this on other cosplay type forums, most people that travel cross border and internationally tend to pack their costume with reference pictures and then label the container the costume is packaged in as theatrical costume and props. Any thoughts or personal experiences with this?

When I travel with any costumes I find it easier to pack them up & ship them to my hotel.

Thank you, I believe that is the answer. I will contact the hotel and see what they have for a policy on holding packages etc.

Hey man,
I live in Vegas and offer a few things to consider.
1. You will not be allowed into a Casino in full Fett gear. If you try it will result in being tackled by security and a visit with Metro Cops. That have zero humor about helmets and so forth in Casinos. It has to do with the NV gaming regs.
2. Halloween can still be in the 90's back here make sure to pack your Fett with fans.
3. Metro will not tolerate Trooping with weapons on the street. I have known of a couple cases were guys were told put them in cars or go home. The rest of you gear no worries it's the weapons they get nervous about.
Fremont street and the arts district are fun places to troop on Halloween. The main is huge and tripping it can be fun but very crowded.
