That last pic helps a lot. Thanks for finding it. I think it shows two things. One is that there is a gap, which is probably unavoidable (and maybe not a bad thing). The other thing is that the back plate in the pic is more curved below the slots for the straps than mine. That seems to make a difference on the size of the gap. That pics shows quite the curve lower on the back plate.
I think bending the hooks is a bad idea.
I'm just going to move ahead with the hook installation as planned and live with the gap unless anyone else has an idea. It will be covered on one side by the cloak anyway.

So, I moved forward with installing the hooks. It went well without an major issues,
It was trickly to thread the nuts inside the pack without being able to see them and having limited room, but I managed.

    img_0179-jpg

Since I had the hardware mounted, I figured I should take it for a test drive to see how it worked with the harness.

    img_0197-jpg img_0185-jpg

I hadn't cut the slits in my vest yet, so I just put it on over my flightsuit. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was and how well the weight was distributed with the harness. Now that I know it works, I can properly tighten the white straps, add the beacon, etc.
My fears about the gap between the jetpack and the back armour seem to be unfounded, since I think it looks fine.
I used magnets to keep the collar armour in place and that worked remarkable well. Since the harness bears all the weight of the pack, the rare earth magnet was plenty strong enough to keep the collar armour exactly where I wanted it to be, without choking me or riding high.

So, I finally got to try everything on at the same time, which was exciting.
The jetpack is surprisingly light and comfortable. It feels very secure on the 3D printed harness.
    Here are some pics.

    boba2-jpg boba3-jpg boba4-jpg

The lighting isn't great and some of the colours seem off with these cellphone pics. The knee armour looks weirdly orange and they are hanging at strange angle (can't blame the camera for knee armour angle ;-).
I also need to tighten up the white straps holding the jetpack.
I'm still toting around the repainted Hasbro ROTJ EE-3, but have placed an order for the ESB EE-3 and the sidearm from Stormrider.
I also ordered a new vest and neck seal from Arkady, as I'm once again leaning towards going for 501st certification at some point (although there is more to be done before that) and the MoW vest won't cut it.

Feedback is welcome. I will try to get some pics with better lighting soon.

So, I went to the Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit at the EMP museum in Seattle and here are some Fett pics. I'm sure I won't be the only one to post some, but the more the better. I took these pics with a decent DSLR and a good lens. I did have to shoot through glass and I did what I could with the while balance, as there was a lot of coloured lights on the display..

    sw-costumes-emp-93-jpg

The Boba and Jango costumes are in the main part of the museum and not with the rest of the Star Wars exhibit. They're some of the only costume surrounded by glass, but you can walk around them.

    sw-costumes-emp-111-jpg

I took some close-up shots a few areas of interest, even though I'm going ESB. You never know, I may need to build a ROTJ or a Special Edition one day and it's best to prepared :-)

    sw-costumes-emp-73-jpg

I was interested to see how the ammo belt fit over the girth belt.

    sw-costumes-emp-118-jpg

    Here's right gauntlet and hose

    sw-costumes-emp-77-jpg

I was happy to see that I'm not the only one having issues keeping the elastic on my knee armour :-)

    sw-costumes-emp-116-jpg

This reminded me that I still need to order an aluminum beacon and light one day soon.

    sw-costumes-emp-105-jpg

    The MQ-1 keypad and glove.

    sw-costumes-emp-102-jpg

    And finally the back view.

    sw-costumes-emp-110-jpg

    I'd highly recommend the exhibit.

Awesome pictures. I wonder if those are screen used braids, they seem so, just thrown together as much as the costume was anyways.

I wondered about the braids too. They were a little underwhelming.
I have more pics. Maybe I'll post a few more.

Here are a few more pics from the exhibit.

It was interesting to see the super trooper white underneath the brown on the belt.

Here's the inside of the left gauntlet.

Here's another pics of wookie braids.

The line on the left side of amor is the shadow from the glass case.

Thank a lot for those images, BUT... that helmet is not the ESB! It is the Pre- Pro #3 helmet:

Agreed. Good eye RafalFett. I remember looking at damage/weathering on the back panels and thinking it didn't match up with my recollections, but I didn't put 2+2 together and soon got sidetracked with some other part of the costume. I assume that was intentional and they didn't just grab the Pre-Pro #3 by mistake?

So, I had the chance to test drive my Boba around the house and did a couple fittings.
Here is the first, from about a week ago.
The light was pretty darn ideal in my place that day.

    photo-2015-03-14-4-28-46-pm-jpg photo-2015-03-14-4-27-12-pm-jpg photo-2015-03-14-4-29-03-pm-jpg

I wasn't totally happy with the colour of the flight suit. Rather than blue/gray it appeared just blue and bright blue in some light. So, I re-dyed the flight suit to make it more grey, but I think I found a good balance. I also got my new vest from Arkady, so I had to try try it out with the jetpack. I also weathered the flight suit and pouches more.

Here are the results from this weekend. The lighting wasn't as good, but you get the idea.

    photo-2015-03-22-4-30-49-pm-jpg photo-2015-03-22-4-31-58-pm-jpgphoto-2015-03-22-4-32-21-pm-jpg photo-2015-03-22-4-31-29-pm-jpg

My ESB EE-3 is in the mail from MLS, so I'm just using a repainted Hasbro ROTJ for now. I haven't figured out what I'm going to do about a sidearm yet, but ll get one when it's in the budget.

So, I'm at that point. What do you think? What do I need to improve or tweak? It's been a long road to get to this point, but I know I'm not done yet. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'm back from Celebration and had a total blast. It was great to meet so many TDHers in person.

One of the highlights for me was being in the room for the panel with Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams where they showed the trailer. I'll never forget the reaction when Chewie and Han made their appearance at the end of the trailer. The room went insane.

Thanks to Fett Seven's general awesomeness, he hooked up with a ESB sidearm that I picked up at Celebration. It was nice to walk around with the correct sidearm (even if I never drew it, except for weapons check :-)
    Here it is.

    photo-2015-04-28-6-57-30-pm-jpg

He also let me borrow his ESB EE-3 for the show, which was great, so I didn't have to face the shame of toting a repainted Hasbro RoTJ EE-3 around the convention floor.
Here are a couple of pics of my Fett at Celebration. I'm almost two years in and I'm slowly getting there. I had some green screen issues in the last pic. You can see the background through my cod piece (no cod piece that small has a cloaking device)

    img_1142-jpg img_1117-jpg img_1213-jpg

I meet a number of other Fetts at show and here are a few pics.

    img_1041-jpg img_1053-jpg img_1052-jpg

I also got to meet some of talented makers from these boards.

It's always a good day, when you get a Fett package in the mail. I recently got this ESB E-3 kit from MLS. This should keep me busy for a while. I'll try to post some pics of my progress.

I just got another awesome package in mail. It's Redkraytdragon's ESB flamethrower.

Wow. Just wow. I'm super happy with my purchase.
