Keyhole Question from a Noob

Hello!
I am building my first Mando helmet using the WOF templates. Regarding the keyhole, is the keyhole frame recessed or is it flush with the rest of the helmet? It looks a if it's recessed, but I'm having trouble confidently distinguishing in the reference pictures and photos of finished helmets.

It's recessed.
