General Mid-Budget ESB built

Did some work on the left gauntlet. It was time to fix the hoses for the flamethrower. I had some old white cable laying around. Cut in 3 pieces and coloured one red. As base 3 washers were used. Drilled the holes to the flamethrower backside. Put in the cable and fixed the 3 ends of the cable in the inside of the gauntlet with some gaffer tape. I will do some weathering, so the red hose won´t look that ugly painted anymore. :D It´s not perfect, but it will do it´s job.

Some small work to test the magnet closure. I have some leftover neodym N52 magnets. To avoid the magnets from being hold together that strong, that the glue is just pulled apart from the fibreglas, I built a little housing for the first magnet. This housing is made of the cover of a plastic box and some sintra scrap. All glued with gel-superglue and fixed with some hotglue to the inside of the left gauntlet. Then painted black. My gauntlets still have the hinge-closure-system, but I find it hard to close them all by myself AND wearing gloves.:D

Merry christmas to all of you!

No big updates at the moment, only sad news... I bought an ESB Boba Fett helmet on november the 12th, built and painted, ready to wear from clonesrus2013 (Eaglewolf570). He missed the deadlines, in between stopped responding to my mails and ebay is working to get my money back (he told me, he wouldn´t know how to refund - NO BUTTON?! - Ebay told me something different... Hope he reads these lines and takes care to finally refund me my money. :cry

Hi there! Having a break from building my ESB Boba Fett... Still missing the helmet, jetpack and a new EE-3 blaster rifle...

At the moment in germany we got "Karneval", especially in the "Rheinland" - capital cities Cologne, Duesseldorf and Aachen. Here some pics of the last 3 days, me wearing a self-created Sith and as "Joker" from the Dark Knight. Enjoy and "Helau und Alaaf"!:D

Finished the connection between right gauntlet hose with the flightsuit, using a white elastic strap and a clip. The elastic strip is sewn (I´m just a beginner) to the flightsuit with the male part of the clip and the mother part of the clip is fixed with a non-elastic black strap, screwed to the end of the hose.

...and sometimes, you´ll have to take a break... He also loves the costume.

The elastic girth belt is a really good idea. Suited up, threading the nylon through the buckles seems to be the most difficult part to do. It probably saves a lot of time and hassle to just make it elastic.

Hey. I'm new here, and just starting my own ESB build. But I wanted to say that I've devoured this thread over the last hour or so and I am so impressed with your build!

Did a test-fit today... still alot of work to do... and loose some pounds... :popcorn Still missing the helmet, jetpack and EE-3 blaster. Didn´t put on the sidearm with holster. Wookie-scalps are not fixed yet. The cod-piece and knee armour need to be fixed to the jumpsuit with velcro or magnets. The slot for the chest electronics is not cut into the flakvest.
