Thanks guys.

I weathered it yesterday. I sprayed it lightly with gray and red primer. And then lightly sprayed with flat black. I am trying to decide if I should clear coat it. I could not find a flat coat but I do have krylon satin clear coat. I am not sure if satin will be flat enough. I would say the weight is about 2 to 3 pounds. Not sure though. I don't have any thing to weigh it with.

Hard to belive you built that from scratch!

One very minor point which will not be too much effort is to get a 4 x 20 scope that has a rear and front bell ($10 for a new Simmons for example) and try to find more accurate scope rings. These two things alone will add so much more authenticity to an excellent blaster

Ok, this one still has a ways to go yet.

The handle is one of those little guns you can attach to a top of a spray can. The rest is wood, sintra, and bondo. the barrel will be some aluminum tubing. The tip is a greeble I pulled out of something else.

I'll post more pics the closer I get to finishing it.

Is the bondo sticking okay to the sintra? Any time I've used it, the bondo peels away from the sintra without much trouble.

Actually, I've had no problem with it.

When I dropped the cod piece you made for me. the sintra split up under and pulled lose, but that is the first time I have had that happen.

Normally, when I get Bondo on something...its work getting it back off

The top is made from wood with sintra stuck on either side of it.

OK, someone finally got a digital camera . So, I can finally update this one.

Here is the gun in its holster. The holster was made from cardstock, covered with vinyl. The snap and the belt loop is made from some scrap leather I had.

I used aluminum pipe to make the barrel, and some piece of plumping I had laying around for the barrel tip.

The weathering doesn't show-up very well, but I painted it black first, and then used steel wool to rub through to black. I still need to make the little nipple/nub on the butt end of the gun, but its pretty close. And I only have a few bucks in it.

Rust-colored primer. I couldn't find any brown in a spraycan that was close in color.

That is very nice, good work. 1 trick to get bondo to stick is mix it with elmers glue. You can also screw a bondo meshing to the surface and it will stick good, that is what they use for big car repair, I have seen heavy bondo'ed cars where they left it out and hit a pothole and it flys out lol its pretty funny.
