Jet Pack Finally almost done Jetpack!(Pic heavy)

Hello All! I have been around and learned a lot from the boards and I am finally able to post some progress. I started the build about 6 months ago, and have I been slowly chipping away at this. The entire body is scratch built, while the rocket, fuel caps and thrusters were purchased from Fett Seven. I used Alan's WOF templates and materials included Foam board, hot glue and Vinyl drywall mud. I think for my first build it turned out okay, but i will let the pictures be the judge.

The first shots are the jetpack with out weathering, and then with weathering. The decals were all hand painted and I am still not sure if i am going to add the blue decals. I do still need to paint and setup the back access panel. I am going to run my battery box for my Fettronic light board into the jetpack via the access door. I do still need jetpack hooks, which i have made a post about in the cargo hold. I tried to show the pack in different lighting as well. This was a ton of fun to do, and any feedback is welcome, thanks for looking! Lance

I'm certainly not skilled in this area so I'm not able to offer any constructive criticism. I can definitely appreciate skill when I see it though! Excellent work, looking great!

Amazing work, I'm a bit scared to attempt this but your pushing me Man!! hehe thanks loved your pics

I've had my Fett wearable since August 2010, and still haven't attempted the jetpack. I've made most of my parts, but this one just seems like such an undertaking, I keep putting it off.

I guess what I learned from this thread is, if I'd started in 2010, I'd be done by now. This looks really good man. I'm jealous.

@Syper- Thanks! The jetpack was a scary project, with soooo many little details ( a couple I still need to complete, but once you get going, it can go alot quicker than it took me. I just took a few hours a week when I had time and sanded or spackled and eventually got every bubble out that i could. Painting actually was the fastest process, which only took me about 3-4days, It was a hot week here in the 80's, so the paint drys in about 10 minutes! (just dont rush on the metallic paint, and try to keep the tape off it!)

@NegativeEleven- Thanks, me and this jetpack are really close now! lol I have spent many hours just staring and thinking about what to do next! I went the Helmet, armor/soft parts(not done) then Jetpack. i still have soooo many things to do ( cod, knees, jumpsuit, boots, cape, braids, gauntlets, gloves, etc) Boba is such an overwhelming project, i sometimes dont know how i am going to get it all done in this decade, lol! (which i probably wont) :)

@Matty Matt- Thank you brother! That means a lot coming from you, your work is not too shabby either!! I love your jet pack hooks you "whipped up", that is (almost) the last piece i need!

Been awhile since I have worked on my pack, but I decided to finally finish the backside of the pack. I had originally made a cutout in the back which I never liked.

Also the cutout area, that the greeblies go, was missing from my original build. I cut the area out and made the correct shape using foam board. I coated the whole area with vinyl Spackle.

Then i sanded and painted the new area. I also made a new cover, which i am going to attach with screws.

I still have to weather the newly painted area, and i am also added another coat of spackle to the cover. Greeblies are on the way, and will paint and attach those when they arrive.

I added this picture on my rotj build up thread, but thought it should be here too.. thanks for looking....
