trim the overlapping tips, if they arent glued yet, try to glue them as smooth as possible.
I cut 45 degree angles on some of my triangle sides to let them fit better.
Yes Bondo can fix this BUT, the more you do NOW to fix it the easier it is to fix it with Bondo later.
when you have done what you can with the base, cover the gaps in the dome with duct tape or something from the outside.
then resin (and fiberglass if you want) the inside, give it a good solid coat. let cure SOLID!
then on to what Wildabeast said... scrape on the bondo in very thin layers. so thin that not everything will be covered in Bondo.
let cure, sand, wipe clean, scrape on another thin layer of bondo, cure, sand , clean .... repeat until a smooth uniform surface appears.
One of my Buckets took 4 days of adding layers and hand sanding to get smooth.
The other had an almost perfect dome to begin with and only took a day.
if you have a power sander it will go faster but don't expect to get it done in an hour or maybe even a weekend.
If you can whip up a better dome it might be worth a shot.
