My Armor - from paint can to primed for action

Well, I finally received my rotary tool from Ebay and decided to make my first set of sheet metal armor.

It has been cut out, ground smooth and sanded and the next step is to throw on a coat of primer. Believe it or not but this morning it was two cast away 5 gallon paint cans rescued from the dumpster at work.

I guess the big advantage of sheet metal armor is that weathering can actually show through to the actual metal.

Now I just need a helmet... [sigh]
